Right off the bat, I can tell you that there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many teams rated 95 and above, as well as 90 and above and even a few underrated teams... As an example, lets take the two Orange Bowl participants: Clemson wins its first ACC title ever, gives up 70 pts and gets a 97/95/91 rating and a 5 star prestige, where as WVU destroys them, returns everyone, has every expert on the planet tab them as a top 12 team with one of the best offenses in the NCAA, yet they are rated 87/91/76 with a 4 star prestige (discounting the 3-0 record in BCS bowls over the past 6 years)...

WVU's highly touted offense is the 22nd best offense in this game, with teams like Utah, Washington, Bama, FSU, LSU, ND, UM, KSU, TCU, Texas, TAMU and Okie State offenses rated higher, which is laughable (some can be argued as better, but most are a push at best)... The real laughs (to me) besides the ND, Texas, TCU, Okie State, UVA and VT ratings (among others) are the fact that Cincinnati is rated higher than WVU, with Louisville being the same rating...

There are so many inconsistencies in these ratings, it just makes me wonder if these guys even watch college football...

Ratings are ALWAYS FUBAR in the game.

The rosters always need a ratings overhaul for Year 1 to get the overalls right...but Year 2 and beyond, its FUBAR again.

lol I know, it just seems this crap always goes unchecked... I know Haumiller is an FSU homer, and one of the project managers is a big Clemson homer, so that explains their respective ratings (and WVU's low rating)... You just think they would actually do research for once... :dunno:

Schools like FSU and Clemson are always filled with "NFL" prospects and highly regarded players, so, high ratings and ultimately, the high ratings result in high OVR all around.

Oh I know, but rating them for college based on their assumed NFL ability is a farce... Rating them based on their outputs and how they fit into their system is a much better option...
