[ALL] Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

i'm gonna pass on the game, havent played NFS in a long time, but i just didnt really like the demo, plus i'm not really a racing guy, also, i need to limit on what games i get

my biggest problem with the demo wasnt even the gameplay, it was the 2 minute like trailer in front of it, lol, game wise, i felt the cars were kinda clunky, similar to Mafia 2s cars, here i'm more used to GTA like cars, i had a hard time turning, but the one thing i did love was when you busted someone and you saw what happened to that persons car
 
Anyone still getting this? I saw on CAG that it's going to be $35 at Best Buy on black Friday. Now there is zero chance I go out in that madness but it's always possible that Amazon matches the price.

there will be plenty of copies...i went and picked up left for dead 2 last year at like 11 am and picked it up.

If it is still around later in the day or Amazon price matches, I will pick it up. The game has been getting good reviews and I heard the way the car feels is better in the final version.

i will get it. i agree about going out on bf, not going to happen. just ordered a tv via hsn 42 in 1080p 5 flex pays free shipping. all my other shopping is pretty much going to be via amazon. i will be sleeping late and gaming all day, plus i am off too

1) I work midnights so I won't be waking up until probably 3 or 4.

2) I don't go out on black Friday period because the crowds are a fucking joke.

3) Maybe in New York where you live there were tons of copies but in most places that is not the case. I remember I think both Best Buy and Target had NBA 2K10 for like $25 last year and they were sold out in minutes. Plus you can read the thread on CAG and most people there say that is the case year after year. The black Friday deals sell out almost instantly. Especially for a game that comes out only a week prior.

TRU is giving a $20 gift card with the game on Tuesday (only). You can combine it with the weekly deal of "Get a game and get another Wii, PS3, or 360 game for 40% off." Basically getting 3 $60 games for $136 (~$45 each).

Interesting. I know Kmart is offering a $20 coupon as well but this deal is better. Although if there isn't really another game I want it would be best to wait until Black Friday.

But where are you getting the three games thing from?

I was thinking of getting NFS on Tuesday at Kmart with the $25 coupon I had so I'd be getting it for the same price as the black Friday deal.

When you buy it you get a $20 coupon which I would then like to use on the Sly Collection which would then net me a $15 coupon. But I think the Sly Collection deal ends early this week (they extended it from last week because it apparently shipped a few days later than expected) and I don't think the coupons become active until a week after the game purchase.

So my question is, will I be able to do this or will I not be able to use the NFS coupon until next week? I can't remember how they work.

Edit: Never mind, I found my answer.The coupons don't become active until the Sunday following the purchase. It will still work out though because the Sly deal was extended from 11/14 through 11/24.

the game you get at original $60, the game you get for $36 (w/ 40% off), and the game you get for $40 (using $20 gc in future purchase).
 
I will hopefully be getting this today but my dillema is whether I should get it from Kmart of TRU?

I was dead set on Kmart because I have a $25 coupon but after Ryne posted teh TRU deal I'm leaning that way. I already also have a $20 TRU gift card so I'd be getting it for $40 plus I could get NBA Jam for 40% off. Fuck EA and their shitty online store.

It looks like this game might be more popular than I expected. Both the ps3 and 360 versions are sold out at bestbuy.com.
