[360] Netflix a must on 360? Yes Or No?

this...netflix selection is shit. i gave it a shot with a free trial, the choices for streaming videos were terrible. besides, there is nothing that i cant find for free to download

What are you streaming from? I mean, what is the video source? Some site online?

The PS3s will adjust your resolution based on how much bandwidth you have available so if your internet sucks you'll get the resolution changing that is happening with Colonel Angus.

1080p is a lot of data and some people's net just can't handle it so they would say that the 360s the best mainly because its running at 720p and there is less data in that stream vs a 1080p stream.

Netflix sucks all together so it a mute point for me lol.

If your using wireless for netflix on your ps3 your not getting 1080p.

My TV is 720p. I use Netflix Canada on my 360. 360 doesn't require me to sign in every time I use it, PS3 does.
I use Netflix at work on the work computer to watch some TV shows when I have time to kill.

Might be. Just find it annoying on my ps3. Not a fanboy either way.

This is probably why mine doesnt work anymore as I have my xbox set up at 1080p.

Would that be the reason or would it just automatically change resolutions?

I wouldn't think that setting would be the problem since most games run at 720p as well. If you haven't, try reinstalling the Netflix app. :dunno:

It can't really look any different if they are both being broadcasted in 720 though.

Thats just resolution. Does not take into account variable bitrates and FPS.

PS3 could very well be streaming at a HQ picture despite both being 720p.

As far as I know the source is the same when it comes to netflix so it comes down to the console itself but from what I could tell they always looked the same to me and never noticed a difference in the service.

Dont own a PS3. Although Im pretty sure theyd use the same codec after reading what MS has been doing to dumbdown video quality to pump up there own shitty service makes me believe the bit rates arent up to snuff compared to other delivery methods used by NF.

I use it on PS3, Xbox (occasionally), Laptop, Phone. My parents use it the most on the WII that i gave them and my GF also uses it at her house on the PS3.
When i can't find a movie i just download it but i think its great for my parents and GF who don't really the websites to go download a movie or stream it like do. So this is much easier for them and they don't bother me.
