Netflix's DVD Option Becoming 'Qwikster'

So Netflix will soon rename their DVD rental option to 'Qwikster' and keep the streaming option as 'Netflix'. Plus, they'll add a video game option.

The CEO says there will be two separate websites for DVD and streaming.

I never used the DVD service so i never complained when they hiked prices..

Red box seems to be the main DVD option now as they are everywhere and much cheaper

Lol red box is no supplement for the netflix dvds I get, I use it for stuff you can't find easily, older moviesz indie films foreign and documentarys. As much as they have there is still a shit ton of stuff they don't offer streaming.

agree GL on going to redbox only to think your getting somethign new then realizing its not at the redbox u are at. Also waiting for the person to scan thru the whole list 3 times trying to find a movie while you wait behind them not trying to be rude.

i guess you can use their app to find a redbox that has ur movie but if your gonna go thru all that trouble might as well order it PPV or just go to the nearest blockbuster and pay the extra money.

Once I get something that streams blockbuster online to my TV, im dropping netflix. But if netflix ever updated their sht daily with more recent movies then ill be happy.

I find myself barely watching the DVDs I receive from Netflix anymore. I have had 127 hrs on my desk for about a month now. So I just spend 8 bucks on it, I constantly go to the streaming service to watch movie/show.

Maybe once baseball season is done I will watch more dvds.

I've basically gotten rid of DVDs that I own...no point in collecting DVDs and now Blu Rays considering how often that market expands and changes.

Netflix is going downhill now, but its still the best option for a chronic movie watcher. I can't get what I want from Redbox, its library is not extensive enough. Blockbuster sucks.

I think Netflix needs to step up their streaming content, but their BluRay/DVD service has always been on point with a limitless library of films. Can't beat that.

I just hope they don't price themselves to the moon in the process.
