Next Madden 10 Roster Update This Week (maybe...)

I was hoping for the update to drop no later than yesterday since the rosters were finalized this past Saturday but I guess Labor Day vacations were more important. Now we are getting vague words like "attempt, push, should" about having it out by the end of the week. I'm guessing this means we get the update around the weekend and possibly even around next Tuesday....

One of the most frequent questions I receive has to do with when the next Madden roster update is expected to be out. For the start of the NFL regular season update I’ve been stating that the attempt would be made to have it out prior to the opening game on Thursday night. That has been confirmed today by both Donny Moore and Phil Frazier.

While they are making a push to have it out before the opener that may not be possible given the scope of the changes. So they are providing a wider window to expect it by saying it should be out by the end of the week. Hopefully it arrives earlier but it is understandable considering the multitude of transactions that took place over the weekend and have continued to stream in to the minute.

If Colt Brennan isn't there, it'll be deleted within minutes.

I don't understand that line about the multitude of transactions. It's not like a bunch of new players entered the league on Saturday afternoon and had to be rated from scratch or anything. F'ing remove the players that didn't make the final roster and take the few people that got traded or moved teams, put them in the right place and release the roster. I think I could finish it in 30 minutes if I had access to the source files and the NFL transaction list from Saturday.

Donny Moore is the EA roster "czar." He was not vetted, therefore he does not have to answer to anyone except the EA "all-inclusive." He is so over-worked.......give him a break!

LOL, yeah u couldn't finish a team within 30 minutes...EA gets too much flak because people think it's SOOO EASY. Look at what this roster update entails...shit like ratings INCREASES, DECREASES, contract info, updating depth charts, etc...it's not just add and drop players to their right teams...sheesh.

30 minutes was a joke for dramatic expression but I guarandamntee you that if I was a "roster czar" with a team of people it could be completed in less than a day. Since Madden is EA's cash cow, they would have been at work on Saturday afternoon humping it until it was finished and it would have been finished no later than Sunday night. They could have taken the rest of the week off with pay after the opening day roster was wrapped. See what a good boss I would be?

I've found in my offline games that adaptive AI is there, it's just not very pronounced.
And the cpu is a poor coach that does not pay close attention to superstars.
