Without McCourty I think the Patriots may not win the AFC East this year. Suh's been great, probably more deserving, but the Lions suck so that overshadows things a bit IMO.

Has a rookie QB ever had such an impact on his team? Gotta go with Bradford.

Not taking away from Bradford, but rookie QBs having impactful seasons isn't really that big of a deal. In fact, it's been quite frequent. Rookie quarterbacks have been played a lot more recently and a lot of them have greatly impacted their team: Ben Roethlisberger, Vince Young, Matt Ryan, etc. They definitely had greater impacts than Bradford.

Sure, Bradford is "leading" the Rams to the playoffs, but that's because the division is bad enough that a 7-9 team can potentially win. He's had a good season, but let's no overhype the playoff deal. Sam Bradford is the best quarterback in that division because the quarterbacks in that division are that bad. Ndamukong Suh is one of the best defensive lineman in the league because he's that dominant and has shown it this year.

Kid's having a great season for a rookie and he'll win OROTY, but if there was just a ROTY award, Suh would win it hands down. No contest.

Trying to take all homerism aside, I've never seen a rookie as dominant as Suh.

Bradford has already set rookie QB records for most total completions and most consecutive passes without an interception, all with one of the worst wide receiver groups in the league. Suh has had a great year, no doubt, and will easily win the defensive ROY. However, if only one award was to be given, you can't give it to a defensive lineman over a quarterback when they have both had very comparable seasons.

Granted, but we're talking about a rookie defensive tackle who is the most destructive and disruptive player on the field.

Give me the All-Pro man child who is exceeding expectations (especially from his position) than the middle of the pack quarterback who is having a great year for a rookie.

I want a poll after Week 17, Bradford taking a team to the playoffs might even change my vote. Unlikely because of my homer-ism, but both have had great seasons for rookies. Suh is dominant, Bradford is playing great without much help (outside of Jackson).
