Quick thoughts on the Titans:

- The first half was just awful. Both the offense and defense looked out of sync, which I should have kind of expected with a new regime and the lack of an off-season.
- Hasselbeck should be a capable option when he gets time from the offensive line. As the game went on, he started to gel with Britt a little more and had a few good throws to Nate Washington as well. Jared Cook was a disappointing non-factor.
- Jaguars defensive line dominated us, especially in the run game. CJ didn't have many holes to run through.
- Play-calling got weird and predictable on both sides of the ball late. Four straight runs before the second TD to Britt would be acceptable if there was a lot of time still remaining in the game. You can't just waste time like that when you're playing from behind. Gray sent Finnegan one too many times on the nickelback blitz and McCown made him pay with that big third down throw to Mike Thomas. Thomas is their #1 option and instead you blitz your best corner and leave Barrett Ruud to cover him? Baffling.

Disappointing loss, but I expected to start out of the gate slow because of the lack of chemistry among other things. This will still be a solid team by the end of the year.

Hasselbeck did a good job in the fourth quarter, and as you said, later in the game in general. I wouldn't worry about him, he's a solid option at quarterback. There just needs to be some balance, which they should get next week now that Hasselbeck has an actual week under his belt that is a regular season game.

Wow the Chiefs looked like shit. I saw it coming based on their pre-season performance, but not 41-7 to the Bills bad.

The Chiefs haven't looked ready to play football since the lockout ended.

Part of it is that he missed training camp and pre-season. I think he is still getting used to the flow of the game.

But another part of it is that the Jags probably sat on the run and dared the Titans to pass on them. I think the passing game is going to continually improve as well.

Bottom line, I think he should be fine in the next week or two.

The line was bad, but CJ wasn't himself either...probably because of the holdout. Next week will be tough against Baltimore, but he should turn it around soon and have his usual big games.

Chiefs made a lot of mistakes early and only had one good drive the whole game. But for once Buffalo scored when given the opportunities unlike in the past years where they go 3 and out or kick numerous FG's instead of getting 6.

Very happy with how our Defense played in all areas of the field.

Fred Jackson got 5 yards every time he touched the ball and that kept the chains moving. Fitz didn't use his tight ends well at all last year but today getting the ball to Chandler & Nelson spoke loudly. Raiders up next at home then gut check time against New England.

the browns showed how pathetic they are once again. the team looked outplayed, outsmarted, and outcoached.

last 2 years they were #3 least penalized team. They were 4 close games away from being 9-7. They were building a solid defense and had an established run game. But that all changed when the browns spoon fed billionaire soccer fanboy owner Randy Learner decided that he would hire Mike Holmgren to run the team that he owns and wants no part of.

So Holmgren, the fat has been fired Mangini and brings out the gimp. The gimp who sucked as an offensive coordinator and gets hired not as the 1st choice, not as the 2nd choice, not even as the 3rd choice. Yes, this way he can be led by the fat has been who wanted to install his offense and pull the strings on his puppet while keeping his fat wally boobs safe and secure in the owners box

The result....7 penalties in the 1st quarter (8 called). no established run game. A constant flow of PA roll outs to the right. No WR separation. Dropped passes. A defense with no discipline. Playing out of there lanes. Looking lost against a rookie QB and his backup.

Still with all that the browns held a 17-13 lead with 5 minutes to play. All that changed when our defense decided to stand around in the huddle while the Bengals were set at the line and snapped the ball to throw a easy lob to a wide open green for a 40 yard score. both outside WR were wide open, but green was the beneficiary of this lack of defense by the browns.

We Lion fans are drooling at the mouth seeing the Chiefs as our week 2 opponent. CANT FUCKING WAIT.

Any other Lions fan just about cry seeing Stafford limp off the field and then jump with joy when you found out it was just cramps. Before the cramps he was lighting it up after that, they essentially went into run mode.

Haley has done a terrible job getting the team prepared. He was so worried about injuries that you could tell the Chiefs didn't have much contact in practice. KC was outplayed physically in the pre-season and they were manhandled against the Bills today. You can just tell the Chiefs haven't been hitting much.

On top of that, Haley's plan for the pre-season was drastically different from the norm, and it looks to have blown up in his face. His plan was to "ramp up" to the regular season. So, KC's starters played almost the entire 4th pre-season game. It was absurd. Cassel ended up cracking his rib. Tony Moeaki tore his ACL. Eric Berry hurt his leg today.

Haley was so worried about injuries, yet he put all of his key players in the line of fire in a meaningless pre-season game. His approach didn't make any sense.

And you can't have easygoing practices and then "ramp up" or flip a switch and go full tilt during games and expect things to go smoothly. That's retarded.

I put a lot of the blame on Haley, but Matt Cassel also gets the blame. He's just flat out not a real NFL starter. He averaged like 3 yards a pass attempt today. He gets scared in the pocket. I fucking hate him.

But, he's Scott Pioli's 63 million dollar golden boy, so he's going to play, and he's not going to receive any competition for the starting job.

And then there's the loss of Charlie Weis. Wouldn't be a big deal if Haley decided to call plays...but he didn't. Instead, he promoted long time offensive line coach Bill Muir to offensive coordinator and play caller. He's like 90 years old and never called plays in his life. It showed today.

So, like I said, top to bottom, from the front office's decisions, to the coaching staff's decisions, to the players...they all suck right now.

Haley really screwed the team with his approach, IMO. They're behind physically...and with the new rules on full contact practices, there's no way for them to get caught up.

With the Chiefs' schedule, it doesn't look like they're going to win many games this year.

Yeah, as soon as McCluster fumbled away the opening kickoff, I thought it was going to be a long day.

Then, Eric Berry got hurt early, which left the Chiefs with Jon McGraw and Sabby Pieceofshitty in their nickel package, and neither one of those fuckers could cover the tight end.

Fred Jackson was a beast. His family and fan club was sitting right next to us, so we heard a lot from them. The Chiefs could not bring Jackson down with one guy. He got extra yards every time he got hit. He always fell forward. It was frustrating.

The Chiefs couldn't do anything on offense, and it killed them. They couldn't flip field position, and Buffalo's average starting field position was like their 45.

The Chiefs had a few opportunities to get some momentum, but shot themselves in the foot. They had a drive going, then had that Leonard Pope TD catch overturned (correct call), then Cassel got sacked, then Succop missed a FG. I thought they might get something going after Tamba Hali got a sack and forced a punt, but then the Chiefs went 3 and out again.

It was brutal to watch on my side, but awesome for Bills fans I bet.
