Always worried about the Redskins playing the Rams, seems that they always play the Redskins well no matter either teams record.
 
Two predictions for this week that might be against conventional wisdom:

-Eagles beat the Ravens by at least 6
-Rams upset the Redskins

Redskins already have that happen, so it's not against conventional wisdom at all.

I think you might be right about the Eagles. They will be out and have something to prove, and have the talent to match up against the Ravens. I also think Baltimore might be a little high off the blowout victory against a divisional playoff opponent, and like the Redskins, could have their guard down.

It's more money for the NFL. However, it puts teams at a real disadvantage as for their short turnaround, similar to the games that are held in London. I also think you are risking over saturating people with the NFL, but I don't think we are at that point yet. I think if the ratings hold up through a whole season, and I think they will, Thursday night games will be here to stay.
 
I love football and everything but I lean towards being a traditionalist, plus I just think it is brutal on the players. I am fine with the 2 or 3 weeks at the end of the year for Thursday/Saturday games when CFB isn't playing like it has been done in the past but I'm just not sold on this years schedule.

Money make the world go round though :runaway:

I think the Eagles could beat the Ravens, but not because of letting their guard down. They did that last year when they laid an egg against the Titans after destroying the Steelers in Week 1, and then laid an egg against the Seahawks after the comeback win against the Steelers later in the year. I don't see them repeating those mistakes.

Eagles are a quality team regardless of what happened Sunday, and it'll be their home opener. It wouldn't surprise me if the Ravens lost...not that I think they will.

when those games go to a major network and off the NFLN, then you'd have to worry about oversaturation. NFLN is not in nearly enough homes for it to matter to most peeps.
