Very true, but lets not praise them 100%. Making that many turnovers early and not scoring as many points is a cause for concern. A team with that much weaponry on offense should have a killer-instinct mentality, to put up points early and not let up.
Matt Ryan also needs to have success in the playoffs.
I just like the way the team is built. A lot of the praise stems from admiration (with a dash of jealousy) because it appears that they made a great hire with Thomas Dimitroff...while the Chiefs made a disastrous choice with Scott Pioli.
The whole not capitalizing off turnovers thing...it's one game. If it becomes a pattern, then it's a concern. The Falcons did an excellent job in Week 1 taking advantage of the momentum caused by a missed FG by KC. The Chiefs had an opportunity to tie the game 20-20 in the 3rd quarter, doinked a FG off the upright, and Atlanta ran them off the field for the rest of the game with an unanswered 20 points. So, I think that killer instinct is there.
Agreed on Ryan needing to have playoff success.
