Tony Gonzalez can look at the bright side, at least coming back netted him an extra year of fat pay without having to do training camp.

I'd appreciate it if the Steelers would just get blown out. Having a chance to tie or win and blowing it is getting old. And some of those sacks were insane. Roethlisberger definitely still holds onto the ball too long (and his refusal to EVER throw it away is maddening), but some of those sacks saw a dude on him before he even finished his drop back. Mike Adams at times would literally just stand there and let Allen run by him. Just tap him on the ass and say good job while you're at it, Mike.

we looked as dismal then as we do now. also a big difference is we dont need to go 7-0; for remainder of season.
we can get away with 8-3 but 9-2 would really be nice.

Only reason I'm not panicking about the Falcons yet is that 9-7 will probably be enough to sneak in the NFC playoff field, and the schedule gets a bit easier from here. Still a ton of red flags popping up on this team, before even mentioning the injuries.

It's still too early to tell, but the Broncos and Seahawks are a notch above everyone else.

That said, the Seahawks aren't even half as good on the road as they are at home. It really is remarkable to watch them play at home and then on the road, they are a completely different team.

Either way, though, if both those teams get home field throughout the playoffs (and it's looking like they will) I don't see anybody beating them to the Super Bowl long as they stay somewhat gealthy.

The fact that the Seahawks are going to get Harvin back makes them even scarier.

Yesterday's loss against SD was just the same old thing. A mixture of penalties, turnovers at the worst possible time, and a defense that couldn't get the Chargers off the field.

Peyton must be licking his chops even as we speak thinking about facing the Cowboys secondary on Sunday. What's the Over/Under on passing yardage and TDs that Peyton will throw?

It's not the first time we've done that either, and in the absolutely terrible division we have, there is some hope, but I have my doubts. An early bye week can help, but I think this team is 8-8 at best, but we are realistically looking at 6-10 or 7-9.
