Watched this the other day.

Same old game just different animations and more obvious glitches coming. The backwards skating stuff is kinda funny considering we already could do that in previous games for the most part.

New goalie animations look nice. The quick save was nice looking. Already can see the classic ravin top shelf goal being a norm goal though. Shooting high on the goalie just seems to be the way to go.

BTW the defensive AI looks retarded as hell. Shaking my head at some of those rush plays. Online Be A pro will be hilarious if you have no human dman.

The amount of times that guy said "new back skating" was treacherous. We've been back skating with the puck for years the only difference is the feet move in animation now.

There's a 10% chance I'll ever play NHL13 right now.

I've bought NHL on day one for the past 5-6 years, but this year I think I'm going to wait until the price drops. There's really no incentive for me to go out and spend $60 on it right away.

Whoever the people are that goto those events need a serious kick in the head. People have been saying that for years. There was a time when the NHL game was the top EA sport game period but its almost time for something to happen and it honestly feels like we've been getting a game every year that just has something thrown on top of it to mask some issues that have been around for a long time.

I don't want to be a negative nancy about an EA game but I'm at the point now where these videos and info is being put out and I don't even care unlike 3 years ago where every day I was refreshing their blog page to see if anything had been updated about it.

I'm buying it day 1 like the good drone I am. I enjoy playing the be a pro stuff online especially the first couple months when everything is active.

I'll end up buying it because we will fuck around in EASHL and probably give that GM connect a try. I can't remember the last time I played xbox though.

The puck being glued on to the players stick when they "Turbo" is a joke. People are going to be figure skating around the defense because they never give them any help. Hopefully it's really easy to check them and get the puck off of them, in the video there was no real threat.

That video really didn't do much for me. As noted, that skating stuff you could have mostly done before if you aren't a ned. The goalies look improved which has been needed for years, apparently five hole is very do-able this year but it wasn't shown there.

Terrible BS from the EA guys with their commentary to cover up the AI just being fucking shite. It's also overdue for teams to play formations, cause every team was a clone in games past but I'm not sure how far that'll go. Still needs more individualism in each player I think.



Anyone else notice on almost every rush there was an open cross crease that wasn't attempted? EA probably thought they could fool everyone by just not doing it.

Seems like NHL has peaked.

Its not trash at all...I think the game has gotten a bit stale...so, I don't see the need to go from year-to-year buying it.

Basically. The addition of physics for the player models was nice, but they've yet to do it with the puck, which is utterly absurd. It's what made 2K the better game in the mid 00's and keeps the game fresh because of the unpredictability of how it would play out.

I can't stand in EA hockey how there's a couple micro second pause for everytime the puck is passed, shot or saved, so some shitty dice roll can play out to decide what's going to happen, rather than just letting physics just happen. Until they finally let go and make it happen, NHL will remain stale.
