I was actually impressed that braves fans payed enough attention to the game to even know they got screwed.I thought the only time they looked at the field was when they are prompted to do that stupid chop.
That's a big reaction from a fan base that was 15 th in attendance for a 94 win team. Way to go...

Poor Chipper. Looks like I will be seeing him a lot now since he is retiring. Hate to see him go out like that, but can't wait to see the shit he does in our community with all his "off time" (from the same city and he has built loads of baseball facilities for little leaguers). Yeah, I mean it was embarrassing but I wasn't slandering the Atlanta fans for that reaction. If I were in their shoes and had the same amount of drinks in with me, chances are I'd be throwing shit onto the field too after something ridiculous like that.
I thought the commentators went a little overboard with the criticism of the crowd reaction. I can tell you that no matter how horrible a call was or how drunk I was I would never throw anything onto a field nor do I condone it. But considering it was a one and done game and the point in the game the call was made, you would have to expect that kind of reaction. I could only imagine what would happen if that call went against the Yankees at home, they'd still be trying to get that game in...

Thanks, I guess. I know we've beaten this poor horse past its death but I have been wary of this format from the start because it leaves open the possibility for an #umpshow or #humanelement situation to make or break a team's season. I just don't believe in tossing out six months of evidence in favor of three hours of one preselected "special" game.
I'm sure the league will eventually find a way to expand this to a 3-game series. And with our luck the Braves will face the Cardinals in the first year with the new format and win game 1, only to lose the next two.
