I cried. Because I knew that it was going to be caught, and that we were heading to the superbowl. A lot of people probably thought ''One yard short'' would be the moment, but it wasn't. I have zero respect for a QB like Steve McNair, because before that ball was snapped, I started to celebrate - I knew that McNair didn't have the balls to throw it into the endzone, and that he would either run it, or make a bad decision. Because that's what he did. If you can't give your team the best chance of winning the game, because you're a coward, you don't deserve any respect.. The pass by Kurt Warner against Tampa Bay, is the type of decision you want your QB to make. We needed a TD, and he was going to give us the best chance of getting it.

That throw was one of the greatest moments in sports history, not ''one yard short.''

I cant remember every crying over a sporting event. the closest was probably when UK lost to Arizona in the 97 national championship game. I still hate Miles Simon to this day.
I get very pissed every time the titans lose and it typically ruins my mondays.


I actually cried when i saw on the news Tupac died and he was my favorite artist at the time. I think i was about 14.

I didn't come close during the tuck rule game. I was just too pissed.

I came close to the game when Tony Siragusa sacked Gannon and hurt him in the AFC Championship game that the Raiders lost to the Ravens.

Didn't come close during the super bowl loss. Got our asses whipped so again, I was too mad.

I think the only time I will cry is when/if the Sharks ever win the Stanley Cup. Especially if I'm at the game. I've had season tickets since season 1. Been going to games for literally 20 years. I just want to watch them skate that cup around the ice.

Wins:
I teared up during the Texas Longhorns 2005 Rose Bowl game
I also teared up during the New York Giants 2007 Superbowl

Losses:
I didn't cry during any losses, but I was so mad. Watching your team lose on the biggest stages are absolutely crushing.
Last year's National Championship loss to Alabama, I was absolutely furious.
The Giant's 2000 loss was horrible as well. Fuck Trent Dilfer.
This years loss to UCLA, I wanted to kill someone.

So, it is the only time I cried over a sporting event (besides the '04 Masters) but it was the final regular season game of the 2000 season.

The Lions were 9-6 and had their final game of the season at home against Chicago. Bobby Ross resigned early in the year and Gary Moeller took over as interim Head Coach. The team rallied second half of the year and a win would send the Lions to the post-season. I was 10 and it is also one of the first Lions seasons I remember well.

Anyway, game is tied and Paul Edinger has a 45+ yard Field Goal, I want to say it was 51. He of course drills it and the Lions miss the post-season. It was devastating as a fan to see your team's hopes just disappear like that. Especially for a team like the Lions.

Paul Edinger's kick would lead to Gary Moeller not being name permanent Head Coach, Chuck Schmidt stepping down in the front office and.... the hiring of Matt Millen. Easily set the franchise back a decade.

I would not draft Paul Edinger in any fantasy football league.

So yeah, I cried.

I've never cried over a sporting event, because I don't get so emotionally caught up in watching other people play sports. I've always thought it was sort of lame to get so emotionally twisted in watching teams play sports that you have no connection with. Its cool to root for a team/player, etc and to get sad or happy over their triumphs and failures, but to cry?
