NY Knicks Off-Season (Future Going Forward)

Our biggest problem is size. They could take that money and get a couple of 7-footers and a servicable point guard. Typical Knick front office.
 
According to the NY Daily News, Knicks are pushing Pringles to hire a defensive assistant coach. Fuck that pushing shit, make it an ultimatum.

Yeah it'd have been a pipe dream even before Billups re-upped because the assets don't match.
 
I guess our latest white knight is Phil Jackson. Who really thinks he won't return anyway?

Odds he returns to the Lakers, not sure. New York would be the perfect setting for him.

Hopefully, it's more than just wishful thinking. D'Antoni's done after this year and Dolan just has to make the call.
 
I don't see Jackson wanting to coach in NY. He's getting old and may not want to deal with the the media and NY isn't built like the sort of team that he'd want to take over. Stoudemire and Anthony are stars, but they aren't the type of transcendent stars that Jackson tends to find desirable. Jackson tends to get his star guys when they're young, play the Zen mindgames with them, make them more cerebral, thus making them better basketball players.

No way Jackson comes to NY. When you work for Brain-Dead Dolan you also work for Isiah Thomas, who's constantly in Dolan's ear. Why would Big Chief Triangle sign on for that headache?
