Obama "Government cant put away Playstation"

Once again addressing the topic of gaming as a distraction from education, Obama said that the "Government can't put away the PlayStation," adding that it is a thing "only a parent can do." In the context of the speech, Obama places getting your kids away from the PlayStation at equal importance alongside getting them to bed at a reasonable hour, attending parent-teacher conferences, helping your kids with their homework, and reading a book to your child at night.

My kids play 4 hours each Saturday and Sunday, and never during the week. They know the rules, and they abide by them. They are both A-B students and my 7 year old would wreck any of you in Mario Kart.

Most parents just don't have any idea how video games suck you in and rot your brain if you don't pay attention to what's going on....just look at Twigg.

Madden has taught my son all about the rules of football and given him an appreciation of the game.

I just won't let him play during the week...Monday through Friday is for school. The weekends are for dicking off.
 
Pokemon taught me that fire can take out grass so I'm a firm believer that kids should keep playing games.

We are entering a generation in which the Super Nintendo kidz are going to be parents. It will only get worse from here.
