Im starting to like Mayhew. He seems like he might be the right guy and millen really was just that bad. The draft will determine how smart Mayhew is but the things ehs doen thus fa have been great.

We just got Henry, and we signed King to a 2 year deal.

Hopefully we can sign or trade for someone else, like McFadden or Greer, it'd bring a little more to the table in terms of stability....hopefully.

Kitna wasn't bad, he just tended to screw up whenever we needed him to manage a game, or pull through on a play..he ruined a lot of games for us.


And yes, we need OL help, hopefully we can sign a guy to help out, and draft Smith or something, i guess we'll see what happens.
 
Why don't we play Stanton.. I mean hell hes better then Orlovsky.. Why did we draft him with our 2nd round pick if we weren't going to play him..

You are dead fucking wrong. Stanton is glorified garbage, he wasn't worth the 2nd round pick, it was another Millen move. The coaches said they had to change the way Stanton threw the ball, thats code for this guy is a bum, why is he here.

Also, I question anyone who says he's better than Orlovsky. Apparently you didn't watch any games last year, Orlovsky played well, well enough to be in contention for the starting spot this year. Orlovsky is a good game manager, if we had a decent defense people would've been all over Orlovsky's nuts because Orlovsky did give us chances to win games, our defense just never stepped up.

Just because Stanton looks ok in Madden doesn't mean he can play in the NFL.

Glorified garbage? He didn't even get a chance to show what he is made of. He played what 3 games, and in those 3 games he threw for what 15-20 passes? In the Jacksonville game he was sacked about 5 times. How is he glorified garbage? Dan Orlovsky hasn't done anything at all besides run out of bounds and get a safety like the dumbass that he is.

Way to bring up one mistake Orlovsky made. Dan tried to get away instead of falling down like Kitna would've done. That was his first ever start, in the Vikings stadium against a good defense. He played well in that game, so what if he got a safety, at least he didn't lie down.

Stanton doesn't play because he sucks, if he showed any potential during practice or when he got in, they'd play him. The coaches didn't have anything against him, he just isn't a good quarterback. He wasn't even worth a second round pick. He was, at best, a decent college quarterback, Millen made a boneheaded move taking him in the 2nd round.

Orlovsky almost won us the Vikings game, Colts game, Texans game and the Packers game. If the defense could have stepped up at least once, we would've won. The refs also stole the vikings game from us because Calvin didn't fumble and the pass interference call was total bullshit.

Orlovsky played well for being thrown into the fire, than breaking his hand and sitting out, than coming back in. You have no idea what you are talking about if you think Orlovsky sucks. Is he good? No. Is he acceptable? Yes.

The Lions are making a mistake not having Orlovsky on the roster. Mayhew is living in the past with Culpepper or he's been running PA fly routes on Madden 09 with Calvin Johnson to much.

When he got in he did good. Lets take a look at his stats 9/17 for 119 yards and 1 touchdown..

and Almost is what got them in Canton for going 0-16.

Yeah one game against the Jags back up defense in garbage time. Orlovsky played consistently in all of his starts except New Orleans. He played especially well against a Colts team who needed to win, not a broken Jags team who had their back up defense in because we were getting slaughtered.

Stanton is not a good quarterback. People like him because he has mobility, so what. Yes those numbers look good but its obvious that he got lucky otherwise the team would have played him.

Drew Stanton isn't good enough to be given playing time on an 0-16 team, that shows how good he is at quarterback if he can only get in once during garbage time.

Trust me, they offered him a nice contract, but he refused to play for an organization like the Lions who treat their players like they do. I'm happy for him that he will be making 3 mil a year backing up Matt Schaub in Houston.

Also, saying Drew Stanton doing great against the Jaguars torn up secondary is like saying he did good in the preseason. That gives him no credibility whatsoever.

This Drew Stanton talk just baffles me. The guy is fucking awful. There's reason why he hasn't won the starting job, or even came close to being considered, people.

Some of you need to put down Madden '09 and start looking at reality.
 
Stanton was a sack waiting to happen. Our o-line is bad but he would just make it worse cause he panicks and tries to run way too much and most of the time he runs right into a sack. Stanton sucks

Dan O didnt give us a chance to win either, he just threw it up to Calvin. Dan O sucked too. The defense did give us a chance in plenty of games, but this supposed acceptable Dan O guy only put up 10 points on the board. Please never say Dan O is acceptable because he was garbage. Without Calvin, he would thrown only 1 TD
