Anyone know how long you gotta wait for the brotherhood of steel guys to let you wear power armor. I helped the paladin and dethroned the elder, they keep saying shit about the trial and to check back in a couple days... shit pisses me off...

Sometimes they will warp to your suite in Lucky 38. You can actually tell them to wait for you there through the dialogue tree if you want to pick up another companion.

Thanks, Riley. This is exactly what happened. Stopped by the 38 to drop off some of my shit before heading out on the town and the fucker was there, standing in the doorway and looking forlorn. Gonna much like my weekend in the real Vegas... except I really hope there isn't some random dude waiting for my in my suite....

Started play through #2, after switching to the House quest after I killed Lucullus, I'm going through as a Sneak/Guns/Lockpick character in the vein of Clint Eastwood. My neutral form of justice will reign throughout the Mojave.

As a side note, anyone know where I can get a duster, or a poncho? I already have a Desperado hat.

The NCR Rangers, if you can find one out in the wasteland usually have one. They're by themselves. I thought about killing one but i was trying to keep my rep up with them.

Alright guys and girls, the fun and frustration is - hopeflluy - over, as Bethesda has released a much needed update to fix a number of issues that have cropped up in Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas.

Since its release players have discovered a range of both highly entertaining and game-killing bugs.

According to senior producer Jason Bergman, the update contains "over 200 fixes" related to quests and scripting. However, players are still reporting severe issues with the game on the official New Vegas forum.

Senior designer Chris Avellone has blamed the "sheer expanse" of Fallout for the bugs plaguing New Vegas.

I went to Nexus to find a DL that allows playing past the end game for the PC.

Nexus already has a bunch of DL content for New Vegas. You can even turn your character into a hooker.

holy shit the ncr assassin squads are rough. i was level 9 trying to raise my speech high first so i can get terrifying presence to help me was benny easier, my guns were only ay 60ish... this is the first time ive had to turn down my difficulty level. that bitch was soaking up my bullets like i was throwing toothpicks at her. i even dropped 1000 caps on a grenade launcher and it got her limbs all crippled but she just mowed down ed-e and veronic like they were nothing. so i reloaded on very easy (changing difficulty doesnt fuck with your hardcore perk, in fact, there doesnt seem to be any penalty at all for changing difficulty) and the bitch still ate 10 grenades before she dropped.

next playthrough, i will be ready when my rep starts to go south. i think its harder to play evil because the whole map is ncr, caesar's legion just doesnt have nearly the presence they do.

I like Fallout 3 a bit better so far, the ammo and potion making stuff is a bit complicated and unnecessary for my liking.

This one is definitely more challenging though, even if it is kind of frustrating at times. I like the reputation amongst factions.

its definitely WAY harder to play "evil". the whole wasteland is NCR territory, if you piss them off, you got problems all over, and probably lose tons of content that way

I do know that if you swipe a Powder Ganger outfit early on, you can gain access to NCRCF quests that can lower your karma.

Also, working for Caesar's Legion does that too.

And if all else fails, just be a Klepto.

i know, what i was saying was that once you go south with NCR half the map wants to destroy you. the game is MUCH harder playing evil because NCR is the home team and caesar's legion are the aggressors. if i was a good guy, id have tons more locations happy to see men.

i dont even fuck around with the recipes and shit. last night, after 26 hrs i finally made a doctor bag and some repair kits. those are the only things i felt were worth the effort. It would be nice if you carried those recipes around in your pip so u can see what u have to hold.

26hrs and still not in vegas. im on the outskirts of the strip but i havnt gone in yet. i dont know how guys are flying thru the main story.

I'm with you Maynard, I find myself constantly distracted and wandering off course and finding new shit, it hasnt taken me 26 hours, but I just got to the strip...then promptly turned around and started doing some other stuff elsewhere

BTW, if you're not at least a level 18-20, stay the hell away from the quarry and the mountains surrounding it. Deathclaws are EVERYWHERE, and there is an Alpha Male Deathclaw that is waiting to rape your face in the mountains.

caravan is simple to win after watching that vid riley posted. i have run out of people to play and take money from. its a horrible game because u will never lose if you play it right...and playing it right is so simple. follow that video, u CANT be beat

riley, i attempted the quarry once. i fought 1 deathclaw...well 3 of me against 1 of him and it took forever to finish him off. i was level 8 or something then

some help needed for a side mission in mccaran

 

the chef in the concorse gives me a list of parts to fix the food processor. i go out and find all the shit and come back to repair it and it keeps telling me i dont have all the parts.

the real pisser is after spending about 2 hours locating some of the parts i go back and not only is it saying i dont have all the parts, but i also see i could have "jury rigged" it with my repair skill of 80

anyways, did anyone complete this or have any trouble with it like me? is this one of the glitches

im starting to see alot of the technical issues now. a few more freezes then before. alot of long load times now. seems like the deeper you go the more BS u deal with

i just cleared my cache to see if that helps

Same here, Maynard. I'm level 21 now, just finished a mission in Nelson. I got stuck in a never ending load screen. And the reason it was loading was because the game was running so poorly I wanted to re-load one of my saves. I haven't even played since that. I hope my save is ok.
