omg...even the shit on the shelves is the same. those metal boxs that were everywhere in fo3 are exactly the same. if you put these 2 games next to each other you wouldnt know the difference.

I've never played the first two and I've only played a very, very, very, very little bit of the third. Like, hardly any at all... But I just downloaded the first two from Pirate Bay. :acid: Thanks for the inadvertent suggestion, guys. Not going to get into them too much right now (I'm playing KotOR and SplinterCell ATM), but it's good to have them.

Enjoy. Fallout 1 and 2 are two of the greatest games ever, and the first is in my top 5 (if not my favorite). The second is probably a better game on a technical level, but the first one did so many amazing things for a new game/RPG. I really can't recommend it enough.

I'm currently doing one more run through on FO3 before I get New Vegas...

It's so exciting to get eviscerated by Mini-Nukes and Chainguns at Level 3.

Yeah I felt the same way. I'm probably not gonna get it right away. I'll wait a week or two and see what the consensus is.

im not seeing a problem with that. FO3 was one of the best games ive played in a long time, and ive never been into the bethesda games. the major thing i thought was lacking was that, while VATS is awesome, it wasnt deep enough. but now they are adding layers to it like guns that are more accurate on certain limbs and special moves. thats really all i wanted. just because they didnt redesign the engine, doesnt make it a 60 dollar DLC. it just means they didnt redesign the engine. its not the first sequel to use the same engine, and it wont be the last

i agree. i loved fo3...it was awesome. But it reached a point where it just got old and repetitive. like listening to a song you love to many times....it just gets old after awhile.

even most sequels have some fresh look to it. but this looks exactly like fo3. the HUD and vats is the same, the player models and dialog options are the same, the loot items are the same....but what shocked me the most was how the environment looked the same. I know its post nuclear war, but i was expecting to see some different looks to the landscape....or even maybe a boost in the graphics, something to give it a wow effect. But its exactly the same game they released 2 years ago....they just gave it a new paint job

I've seen on a video where someone said the game is twice as deep as FO3 story wise. I have it pre ordered and was probably gonna trade in Reach and Madden for it.

Has anyone read/heard how much of this game will have story elements from the origionally cancelled Fallout 3 (Van Buren)?
With this game being developed by the remains of Black Isle, I'm curious how much of the storyline will be filled in with what was basicly already written.

i dont much about the development. i pray it is good. i have to get it so i have something to play. halo reach just blows donkey dick now.

OT....i started playing mass effect 1 again. i only got to play it 1 time prior to ME2 coming out. so even though i played it once, it still feels like a new experience. its kind of a bummer when i think about me2 and how streamlined they made it. almost removing all the rpg aspects we loved from me1....of course they got rid of all the bad stuff too

Will definitely try and play through on Hardcore after the first play through. Even though I'm reeaally tempted to jump right in on Hardcore....

I wonder what the "special reward" is?
