Chris Simms has a high ankle sprain and is gonna be out for a bit. Kyle Orton don't got shit to worry about now. Plus the Bears are coming into town this week and he's gonna put up better numbers than Cutler.
 
Orton hurt his finger but he's back.

He's prepared to put a glove on his injured hand and Billy Jean the Bengals.

A day after returning to practice for the first time since dislocating a knuckle on the index finger of his throwing hand on Aug. 30, quarterback Kyle Orton said he expects to play in Sunday's season opener at Cincinnati.

"I'm preparing that I'm going to play. No question about it," Orton said before practice today. "(I'm trying) to take as many reps as I can this week in practice to get ready, and be ready to go on Sunday."

Stitches remain in Orton's finger because the knuckle broke through his skin when he dislocated it. During practices he's donning a protective glove to help keep the wound closed. He said the glove helps his grip, but also hinders throwing because of too much grip.

They battled back in the heated Purdue Notre Dame rivalry games. And before you say...oh well Purdue sucks (they do) recognize that Kyle Orton went 2-0 against Brady Quinn.

This weekend he's gonna make it 3-0.

I'd just like to point out that Kyle Orton is averaging more yards per pass attempt then Jay Cutler (7.8-6.9) and has thrown more 20+ yard passes, and more 40+ yard passes.
 
Orton and McDaniel's came out throwing this last game and it was fun to watch, I hope to see more!

Orton look much improved/healthy can't wait for the Raiders game I think it will be EPIC!
 
Word on the street is that Oakland has upped security for the Broncos game because Kyle Orton is coming to town.
