i have two questions guys

1. do you have the option to turn on spring training and play it your first year when you start a franchise?

2. i know the prospects themselves are random, but are they changed or switched every time you do a new franchise?

How does everyone here approach the playing of your franchise games? Do you play them all? Do you play one game a series? Do you just go by pitching rotation? Play minor league games? How do you play your games in the Franchise mode?

I go through my roation. Basically play 1 game and then sim 5. Play 1 and then sim another 5. It lets you use every pitcher, play in most parks, etc. and still finish a 162 game season in 30-32 games. It allows me to play multiple seasons without moving too fast.

That's the way I want to do it this season. I might actually play a few minor league games in this franchise.

Madden, NCAA FTB, FIFA and NHL have all tried this 'Be-A-Pro" style and they've all fallen flat on their faces with zero mention of fixing those modes.

They simply don't work and aren't fun after a short period of time.


RTTS however, is fan fucking tastic.

I got drafted by the Mariners, sucked ass through Spring (.183 4RBI 1HR) and was send to the 'AA' bench. 4th game in I get to start. First AB get a 2RBI double, 2nd AB I break my wrist trying to stretch a single into a double and end up on the 60 Day DL.

I get back in the lineup, get real hot. 8 Hits in 4 games with a few RBI. Then cold for about 6-7 games......and traded to the Nats 'AA' team.


This has been fucking wicked to play.

I totally agree with you. I find it hard to play a normal game, that is how great RTTS is. The other players take care of themselves and I just have to worry about me.

Its doubtful that you will make the team, you will most likely get offered a contract and get sent to AA... Its quite the process/struggle to get to the Majors.

So i got my Franchise started with Seattle. I made a bunch of players (buddies) with AA type skills and assigned them to random AA teams. Hoping that in a few seasons they will start showing up in the big leagues.

RTTS BUG/GLITCH ALERT (POSSIBLY):

Some on OS are posting how their RTTS is freezing sometime around September. Most are saying it happens in 2010/11. They are trying to figure out what is causing it. They can't sim to their next appearance; the PS3 just freezes and/or restarts. The SCEA guys said they will look into it once they get back from vacation but don't know anything about it so far. Most are keeping several files saved and if one freezes, they try to use another one. I'm not sure how much success this brings.

Can someone help me with this baserunning please?I looked at manual and still cant get the crap right.


How do you steal early?I hold L2 and push analog forward and it steals me late!Only way i figured to steal early is hold L2 and push direction pad up, but everytime i do this my guy decides to stop.WTF!!!!!!


Then how do you advance to the next base?


Also,with the plate coverage indicator,do you have to have that where the ball is going to hit it or can you just move the analog to the left or right like in MVP?
