Roddy White admits offensive pass interference

Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Roddy White(notes) admitted that he committed offensive pass interference on his game-winning touchdown catch Thursday night at the Georgia Dome.

In the Falcons' 26-21 win over the Baltimore Ravens, White pushed cornerback Josh Wilson(notes) to the ground. With Wilson down, White cruised into the end zone on a 33-yard touchdown reception.

"Yeah, you've got to do whatever you've got to do to win," White said. "It was one-on-one coverage with one guy. But he was kind of flat-footed, and he tried to grab me, so I just pushed him down."

You didn't stop any of our weapons. Ray Rice played very well. Heap, Mason and Boldin each had a TD. So what respect should I give you? That your team (including Roddy's drop) nearly gave the game away? That it took 12 men on the field to win it? Took a bobbled reception on the sideline, a iffy Defensive PI call and a No offensive PI call to beat us? Or how bout a facemask penalty on T-sizzle; when in fact his facemask was being held... (remember that led to a TD, if that doesn't happen you guys settle for a FG).

I'm all for the Falcons winning the NFC. I think they are the best if not 2nd best behind the NYG. But to say that I'm impressed? nah. Fitzpatrick and the Bills threw almost 400 yards on us, so what if Matt Ryan threw for a little over 300.

I knew you guys were going to pass all over us, what I said in fact came to fruition. I thought Gonzo was going to have a field day on us. I usually take a loss (like the Bengals and Patriots games) on the chin. But this game had me feeling like the 2007 Patriots job.

LOL at blaming the refs, the missed push off was a bad call, but the other two were fine. Wilson's bitch ass shouldn't have crumpled to the ground, assuming he'd get a flag. Maybe play to the whistle and try to recover, instead of falling down from a relatively harmless one armed shove? Yes, it was a push off and it should've been flagged, but there's no way a corner falls down from that unless he's playing terrible technique, or flat out diving to try and sell a call. Either way, sucks for him, can't do that shit with the game on the line. Bad calls happen, you play through them.

Even if they did call the PI, all we needed was 20 more yards for a FG anway, there was still :20 on the clock. You're crazy if you don't think Ryan completes at least one more big pass anyway. I mean he was only 32 for 50 ...

Offensive PI would have pushed you back 10 yards and took the down.

Now you are kicking a FG from the 43. So you are looking at a 55-60 yard field goal because (end zone (10 yards) + 7 yards (from the line of scrimmage)).

So to say that you making the FG is a given is a joke. It is what it is, but the Refs gave you that game. and lol @ Ryan guranteed to make another big pass. Did you watch the game, he couldn't even complete a pass to Roddy White to put the game away earlier. So it's a crap shoot on what would happen.
