Derrick Dockery's contract with the Redskins is essentially for three years and $13 million.

Dockery's 2009 salary is guaranteed, as is $5 million of his 2010 and 2011 salary. He did not, however, receive any signing bonus at all, which helps the 'Skins 2009 salary cap.

The Tennessee Titans continue to seek evidence to support a claim that the Redskins tampered in their signing of Albert Haynesworth just five hours into the free agent signing period.

Rumors were rampant that the Redskins had a deal in place before the signing period began, fueling speculation that they started negotiating before they were allowed to by the league. Haynesworth maintains that was not the case, however, and it will be difficult to bring any charges unless the Titans can present some evidence.

According to the Washington Post, the Redskins have made a contract offer to defensive lineman Phillip Daniels.

"Yeah, my agent has been talking to the Redskins and they're trying to work out something," Daniels said Saturday. "There are some other teams calling, so I'm still just trying to take it slow and see what happens, but I'm hoping we can get something worked out and I can be a Redskin next season."

Jason Campbell and Carlos Rogers have reached escalator clauses, substantially increasing their 2009 salaries.

The clauses were based on playing time. Campbell's salary increases from $783,000 to $2.858 million while Rogers' increases from $602,000 to $1.403 million. Both players are eligible for free agency after next season.

The Redskins are reportedly interested in adding free agent DL Renaldo Wynn.

Wynn, 35, is nearing the end of the line and should come cheaply as a reserve lineman. He and another elder statesman, Phillip Daniels, are selling themselves as a package deal for the Redskins.

Redskins re-signed LB Alfred Fincher.

Fincher, a 2005 third-round pick, is purely a special teamer.

Redskins agreed to terms with S Reed Doughty on a one-year contract.

The Washington Times says Doughty will push SS Chris Horton for a starting job, but that's unlikely. Doughty is ticketed for a role on special teams.

Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth was indicted Thursday on two traffic charges after an accident that injured another driver last December.

These are traffic charges and less severe than a misdemeanor crime. Haynesworth is accused of reckless driving and expired registration. Though he drove out of control and the other driver hit the median, Haynesworth didn't do it intentionally and seems unlikely to face NFL discipline.

Free agent S Keith Davis says he is currently in talks with the Redskins and Eagles.

Davis is best on special teams, but probably is looking for a place to play defense. He's made one known visit -- to K.C. -- but left without a deal.

Georgia Tech DE Michael Johnson has reportedly set up visits with the Falcons, Redskins, Browns, and Bucs.

The Packers and Bengals are also believed to be highly interested. Johnson has been blowing up the Combine and Pro Day workouts, but there are serious concerns about his commitment level.

Clinton Portis is not expected to attend the start of Washington's offseason program, but the team doesn't seem concerned.

Portis has never been one for working out when he doesn't have to. "I fully expect him to be here participating at some point," coach Jim Zorn said. "I talked to Clinton on the phone yesterday. He's just trying to work out his schedule." Portis can use the rest after breaking down late last season

Clinton Portis surprisingly did report to the Redskins' offseason program on time Monday.

The Skins weren't expecting him to show yet. Portis worked out with the team last off-season more than ever before, and it appeared to pay off with a fast start to the season.

Redskins re-signed restricted free agent K Shaun Suisham to a one-year, $1.01 million contract.

The tender isn't guaranteed and Suisham will have to beat out Dave Rayner to get the money. It'll likely be an even competition through training camp.

Redskins signed DL Renaldo Wynn to a one-year contract.

Wynn, 35 in September, has a real chance to start for the Redskins, which says a whole lot about their problems at defensive end. He recorded 25 tackles and two sacks as a deep reserve tackle/end for the Giants last year

The Redskins still have no plans to offer Jason Campbell an extension this offseason, according to the Washington Post.

The Post has speculated that Campbell's relationship with the club could become "contentious" if his deal isn't extended. He is in a contract year. In 36 career starts Campbell has a respectable 59.7 completion rate and 35:23 TD to INT ratio. He needs Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly to step up this year.

Redskins waived LB Matt Sinclair.

Sinclair missed all of 2008 with a bad back. The former undrafted free agent from Illinois was considered expendable despite a meager $385K salary

Profootballtalk.com is "hearing" that the Redskins have interest in Jay Cutler.

A rumor circulated Tuesday that sent Cutler to Washington, but it was obviously bogus. PFT indicates that the Skins do have interest in Cutler, though. Perhaps Dan Snyder and Pat Bowlen will talk at the March 22-25 Owners' Meetings.

Redskins GM Vinny Cerrato says Washington hasn't "talked to anyone" about acquiring Jay Cutler from Denver.

"Jason (Campbell) is going to be our QB this season," Cerrato added. While the Skins didn't deny interest in Cutler, they have next to zero cap room. They've already made their big money purchase and Cutler isn't going anywhere without a new contract.

Redskins DT Cornelius Griffin recently had his shoulder examined by Dr. James Andrews.

Griffin has had problems with the shoulder over the last few seasons and is expected to be limited in team workouts next week. The Redskins are optimistic that he will be fully healthy by the summer.

Redskins RT Jon Jansen reported to offseason conditioning at 18% body fat, down from the 23% he ended 2008 at, and vows to keep his starting job.

A leaner Jansen could be more effective in pass protection, where he struggled badly last year. The Skins need a defensive end more than a tackle, even though they're hellbent on replacing Jansen. If Jansen keeps it up perhaps an end will be a more realistic pick at No. 13 overall.
