A lot of weird teams qualified, then they all seemingly got put into the same groupings. The draw is incredibly uneven. Groups C and H are nearly the 8 worst teams all in the same 2 groups. Groups E & F aren't much better...it would be a miracle if France & Argentina don't advance. The other groups should produce some good football. There will be a lot of strange 1st round knockout matchups which could have teams losing intentionally in the group stage...would you rather face the 2nd place team from Group G or the 1st place team from Group C?

I strongly disagree I think Greece and Belgium are two teams you should look out for. Columbia and Nigeria are pretty underrated as well

We shall see. Belgium could be tough, but I don't think Greece and Nigeria are any good. Greece might put up a batch of mind-numbing 0-0 draws, which they typically do on the international stage, but they don't have any elite players. Nigeria gave up 2 goals to Jozy Altidore, which is not a good sign. Columbia could have an advantage playing on their home continent, but I don't see them doing anything in the knockout stage if they make it.

I agree about Greece. When it comes to the international stage I believe they are a rugged team that just seems to draw or find an ugly way to win but nonetheless I believe they will be a tough out.
I've seen Nigeria play twice now in person. Once in my stadium during a friendly and have to say once they get momentum and if they have a decent crowd on there side they are tough to beat. Yea they have no stars but enyeama usually steps up once the tournament begins.
I don't any of these teams will go far but I think they are better than most people give them credit for.

Group C? Uhhhh what? Ivory Coast and Japan are very good teams, with Japan being a sleeper. Ivory Coast also a very strong, powerful, and athletic team with the best center mid in the world running that team. Then in H, you have Belgium who is loaded with stars, and will have a ton of focus on them to see what they can do. Throw in Russia being managed by Fabio Capello, with OK players, and a South Korea team who is always underrated. Ill give you group F, but that's about it.
And as for Greece, yes, they have 0-0 draws written all over them. But, more power to em, they won the Euros that way, and ill be damned if they do it again. Their back line is very strong. They wont go far though.

Yes, I'm sure Ivory Coast and Japan are "very good teams". This is the World Cup, right? Its all relative, though. I think the draw was uneven. Apparently you think otherwise, for reasons known to only yourself. If you think a Japan v. Greece matchup will be a clash of the titans similar to a Spain v. Netherlands matchup because Japan is a "sleeper" and Greece won the Euros in 2004, then thats your opinion.

Well not really, there are some shit teams, but to complain about the randomness of the draw seems weird. It's random, and every 4 years there are groups that are better and worse. This is not new.
You said you thought group C was weak. But it's not, the two teams to leave that group are going to be teams that will be very good. How that turned into Greece and Japan being a clash of titans is beyond me since I said Greece ain't doin shit.
