The Giants Defense only had 5 sack and god knows how many hits on Brady. Held the Pats to 45 yrds rushing and caused 2 TO. Yeah they did absolutly nothing to help eli by putting them in positions to succeed. Ugh. I'm so sick of hearing about Trent Dilfer. I don't think anyone argued that a teams defense didn't help them win. Good TEAMS win the Super Bowl. Period. It's not like basketball where 1 or 2 good guys can sometimes swing the difference completely. Of COURSE a good defense has something to do with winning a Superbowl ring. But to discount guys that played just as big of a part is silly.
I'd say no...because why would they? They would have lost most likely, and thus Eli wouldn't have won, and therefore could not be considered a "winning" quarterback who can get it done.
