I think the minor leaguer who was traded for like 18 bats last year was worth more than Ortiz now.

at this point I think the only thing left to do is pout him on the DL and have him go through some "rehab" in the minors...would they be allowed to do that though?

Ortiz and Manny were buddies. When Manny had his little fiasco last year and the front office went to the team vets asking what they should do with Manny, Ortiz said that he should be traded.

To be fair, he took a big drop last year too (.264 BA) but still had some power and would've hit 30 HR in a full year.
