Pitt vs. Miami = pathetic

I think they've become a "top" BE team now, for whatever that's worth. The brain drain and player drain over the past few years has left the Big East cupboard bare. Louisville, Cincy, Rutgers, UConn, and USF all had their time in the sun, but that appears to be over. West Virginia is no longer a major player although they are still good. Pitt has become a top team by default, almost.

Seriously. The conference losing its top coaches certainly doesn't help.

WVU: Rich Rod
Cincy: Brian Kelly

One of those three teams was the conference champ each year since 2005.

If only the conference wasn't so top heavy.. you have TCU (National Title contender), Utah (BCS at-large candidate), BYU and Air Force (solid, not spectacular.. but could hang with a lot of schools).. aaaaaaand then you have New Mexico, Wyoming, UNLV and Colorado State. All of which are fucking terrible.

Just like nearly every BCS conference... What's irritated me as of late is BYU's selfishness and bitchassness. They're going indy for football, which is going to fuck up the MW's opportunity to become AQ.

Getting Boise State, Nevada and Fresno State was a major coup for the conference though.

But yeah, BYU leaving sucks. Had BYU stayed, the additions of the 3 WAC school would have made the MWC a very formidable conference.

Ya, but that loss was sort of cancelled-out because TCU and BYU were still there, and BSU was coming. Now with BYU gone it changes the equation.
