I think they've become a "top" BE team now, for whatever that's worth. The brain drain and player drain over the past few years has left the Big East cupboard bare. Louisville, Cincy, Rutgers, UConn, and USF all had their time in the sun, but that appears to be over. West Virginia is no longer a major player although they are still good. Pitt has become a top team by default, almost.
Seriously. The conference losing its top coaches certainly doesn't help.
Louisville: Bobby Petrino
WVU: Rich Rod
Cincy: Brian Kelly
One of those three teams was the conference champ each year since 2005.
