It's for better connectivity to other devices, the PS4 has HDMI and analog, which really is all you need as a gamer, but offering multiple HDMI, extra USB, extra sound ports, etc are an indicator that the XB1 will work as a hub, rather than a simply a game console.

It definitely is, and to be fair, I think the fact that I came into the end of an Aso driven debate speaks volumes as to why I don't understand what the debate is about. I will say, you are right, it is more a multimedia hub. I'm actually kind of surprised people are fighting it (and by people I mean Knubb).

You have only one extra USB port(Ordinary USB port at that. Nothing special about it). Extra shit does not make it more of a multimedia machine. Media is the end result of entertainment or communication(Music, Video, etc.). All of those things are available on BOTH SYSTEMS(What I have been saying the whole time). The only difference is what I have been saying the entire time.....Television. You buying a PS4 has nothing to do with the discussion either.
