Allright I'll come in to clear this up.

Its not the browser on the PS3 thats the problem.

The problem is trying to view text on most tvs. It looks like shit and most of the time you have to zoom in and out all the time. Its like browsing on your phone. It works but its kind of a pain in the ass.

Actually, my TV is fine.
I think the PS3 browser sucks and you constantly have to download plug-ins.
And, if you don't have a keyboard, if sucks even more.

Don't get me wrong, the PS3 browser is serviceable, but it's nowhere near a PC equivalent.

I'd actually like an iPad to browse the Net from my couch.
Just haven't taken the plunge.
Just not sure it's worth the cost.

I'm on my couch typing this on my iPad. It's definitely an expensive toy.

I'd say. It's a fucking joke. Around $700 if you want 3G which why wouldn't you want that? It would be pointless without it.

That's what a fucking laptop id for, which you can get cheaper.

The whole point of the iPad is the portability. That is basically a moot point unless you have 3G.

When I'm on the couch, I don't want a laptop.
I like the idea of a tablet.
Sure it's an oversized iPhone, but I fucking hate looking at the browser on the iPhone. My old man eyes need a bigger fucking screen that that.
And the 3G plans offered in Canada are criminal.

Not to mention they have netbooks that are even smaller and cheaper than laptops if somehow a laptop is too cumbersome.

I am not saying it's crazy talk. LOL
And, frankly, I agree. iPads are fucking overpriced.
But very few laptops gets 10 hours of battery life and weigh what the iPad weigh.
And even you can't deny some of the apps are pretty cool.

I think I'm going to hold off on the conversion...360 is getting ESPN3...that is a pretty big PRO to the 360 list and could be a deal breaker for me as I use ESPN3 so much...getting those games on the big screen will be sweet.

(I'm a gambler and bet on games that aren't always on TV).

Yeah, that battery life is insane. I think I get maybe an hour out of my laptop when it's unplugged and running on optimal settings.
