Read this earlier today. Nothing I didn't know. Robinson has been a find, but I think they're overselling his stock a bit. The running game picking up and the O-Line finally showing some cohesion has had a much bigger impact.

The other terrible PFO articles reminded me of this one. In retrospect, what decided the NFC East were the two late season games against the Giants in which the Cowboys lost both times. Now anyone with a brain could have foreseen that what would eventually decide the NFC East was the Dallas Cowboys defense, and they did. Rob Ryan's ridiculous insistence on playing a pressure scheme while having a slow, unaware defensive secondary resulted in Dallas giving up numerous big plays all season long.

But lets look at how the two guys (Romo & Robinson) whom PFO said would determine the NFC East and see how they did in those Cowboys-Giants games.

In the first game, Romo threw for 321 yards, 4 TDs, and 0 INTs while Robinson had 137 yards and a TD. Good enough for the win that would clinch the NFC East? Nope.

In the second game, Romo threw for 289 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, while Robinson had 61 yards and 2 TDs. Still not good enough.

Why? Because the Cowboys defense gave up 66 points and over 900 yards of offense in those two games.

I use that word because getting there is just as tough as winning it..there has only been 45 and that puts him in elite company..Rodgers and Brees dont belong in the category yet, theyve only made it once

For the record, Brees is averaging more yards per season AND more touchdowns per season than Brett Favre did.

they are all great,.. but I dont give a flying horses fajita what Brees does unless he can do it for another decade LOL......I think its moderately valid, people take Super Bowl appearances for granted, its hard as heck to get there let alone win it..even in losing 4,you have to put Kelly in an elite category..Brees is a proven winner of late but these passing stats are easy to come by lately in the pro game...which makes Sanchez look reeaallyy baad

if he actually sucked,they wouldnt have made it. They did make it,almost won ,and it goes to show how much of a team game this is( the game manager crap is just arm chair QB/fan stupidity)..but like I said,get back to me in 10 years about how great those 2 are

but thats another the thing..ultimately, Delhomme has had a better career than Romo even if his prime was a shorter time period.

the Cowboys need some QB competition going..it may not be his majority fault..young guys on offense, bad coach play calling,bad coaching..? but Romo has looked pretty bad when truly needed...that said, he's been pretty banged up this year too and i'm sure that hasnt helped him or the team

ok homer pile... lemme get this right... eli, who has a ring and wins games late, is a qb you wouldn't take over tony romo? come on man, don't be derrville, don't be that guy who has to take romo cuz he's a cowboy. romo falls apart late, he always has. his team doesn't help him as much as eli's helps him, but eli (as much as I hate to admit this) has some poise late while romo looks lost in the lights. maybe it's because he knows that defense is gonna help him so he takes more chances, or maybe it is because he makes some of the luckiest plays i have ever seen. whatever 'it' is, romo ain't go it. and until they get a coach with authority and/or a gm that is not jerrah, that team will always be overrated and under-preforming. not that i mind of course, seeing dallas lose always makes my chanuka happy.

p.s. in that list of people you put above romo you forgot a few..

rivers, flacco, ryan, stafford, a. smith...
