Rate NCAA 10

i was gonna post a positive response to discuss this and possibly offer help....but when u say the game is a 4 its as bad as people who say its a 10. If i thought a game was a 6 or less i wouldnt even be playing it

Saying the game is below average is as bad as saying it's the best ever? I'm sorry, but I must disagree.

Thats what I'm saying. Some peoples interpretations of ratings is beyond me. I guess we can thank the IGN's, GT's and metacritics for the high ratings given out.

8 is a VERY good to Great game. 7 is a solid game, but falls short in too many areas to be called a good game. 6 is an average to above average game. 5 is getting to be a bad game. Too many things cause frustration, dont work, dont seem to be what we thought or anticipated. And so on and so on.

At its core, NCAA 10(and 09) is very, very, overrated. TOO many people overlook the abundance of issues in its gameplay. Apex may be a little redundant with his videos, but his points are valid. The issues you see in his videos are utterly ridiculous.

I think 7 is in the rental category. I think 8 is worthy to buy. 9-10 is great to greatest of all time type of games. Once you hit 6 it starts hitting rent and buyer beware. 5 and under = avoid completely.

People certainly have a different opinion on how to rate games.

Definitely. But I do think peoples opinion's are jaded nowadays by other's reviews.

if you really think the game is a 4, thats cool. I am not arguing your opinion. But i think calling the game a 4 is as bad as a guy who calls it a 10 because i feel anyone saying its perfect is ridiculous. At the same time anyone who thinks its as bad as a 4 is equally as ridiculous.

I hate EA football games as much as anyone, but this is a solid game. The random flaws that Apex shows in his videos are so random that u have to look to find them. But who cares what that dude says anyways.

i am very interested in understanding why you feel the game only deserves a 4...if you want to share your thoughts

see, i am even more critical then that. Usually an 8 is a rental, then a possible buy if i like it. If its rated a 7 or lower i wont even rent it, unless friends give it high praise.

Like FN4. I bought it.....traded it in with in 7 days. I took a huge loss, but that game was shit imo

I pulled off the upset of the year in my dynasty.

Tennessee (me) 21 Florida (cpu) 16.

I had "chew clock" on the whole game and played more conservatively than a 1930s team with leather helmets to keep Tebow off the field.

Wicked game. 1596 greatness score.

OK, now that I got my bragging out of the way.

My official score for NCAA 10: 7.5
The gameplay feels better, but they have done nothing to the presentation or graphics (save for the FG net) that makes me feel like they're actually putting an effort into this game.
It feels like Tiburon assigned two or three guys to this game and the rest of its staff to Madden 10.
The gameplay is good enough to make this a respectable game, but it's nothing beyond that.
This score is post-patch, btw. I have the ps3 version.

Since 7.5 isn't in the poll, I'm going to vote 7 - because I simply feel they didn't do enough to call this anything more than an average, fun game.

To be honest, it feels unfinished.

Choose aggressive blocking, and start running sweeps with a reasonably fast back. Borderline money. Yeah, you'll get a clipping penalty now and then, but it's a small price to pay for over 400 yards rushing a game.

Progression in dynasty is too high, broken rosters, sliders don't work, linebackers have a nasty tendency to drop into coverage on running plays if you're in zone, and safeties like to stand around and watch the game when there's a back loose in the secondary.

this just sounds like u want the game to suck and dont want to enjoy it. And your looking for a reason to complain.......all of these issues are easily resolved

Aggressive blocking....Dont use it. Or better option would be to use it, but up the penalty sliders to 75 across the board. Watch how quick u stop using it

LB droping into coverage when in zone plays, on a run.....hmmm. You called a zone dee and expect them to forget that assignment to go after a RB. I guess you want you players to bite on the play action everytime then? this is seriously stupid. The LB must follow his assignment and then react. If the players suck, there awareness sucks and they dont read and react. Control your MLB if this is a problem

Safties standing around? Never seen this. My guys are very aggressive to the ball.

dynasty progress....yeah well, we know EA messed up the roster. I realize a 60 rated 3rd stringer is very important to some, but the progress is only an issue until the original roster players are out of school. And the issue is a matter of opinion.....i dont have a problem with the higher ratings because its for all players across the board. Its not like some teams are getting these high rated players and other are not

I gave it an 8. If the camera views were cleaned up and I didn't feel like making defensive adjustments was such a pain, it would be a 10.

After playing it for a little over a week...a little quick to give it a grade, but I'd give it a preliminary 6...but a playable 6.

Reason? It is kind of the "same ole, same ole" for the most part. I don't feel like I'm playing NCAA *10*...I feel like I'm playing just NCAA with a few updates and tweaks...a few more bells and whistles...whoopidy doo. I thought 09 was playable and fine...no simulation, but a playable football game and you can get close enough to simulation results and stats to make it a livable experience. This falls under the same title...playable and fine, but not award winning.

However, from such a series, I expect more.

This series might benefit from an infusion of a new development team...just a group with a new vision. Not wanting to call for the heads of the current team...but its just this team has seemingly grown vanilla with this series. Would like to see a new team give this series a go...I think a new vision, with a focus on simulation gameplay and realistic presentation and atmosphere would do this series a world of good and bring it from 5-6-7-8 grade yearly to a 7-8-9-9.5 yearly series potentially if they focus on the aforementioned aspects.
