Recruit or play first?

I've always recruited first because I thought it didn't matter. What do yall do and do yall know if there's any benefit to playing the games first?

Agreed. I usually just do the 3 or 4 guys I really want and let the computer do the rest of my recruiting for me

really? thats boring.

i am into it more than ever this year with the website and the new system in the game. I plan things out. After going thru the long process of figuring out what guys i want to target i then have to organize by priority and then have to look at whose interest is high enough to warrant large amounts of time and who i want to try and sway into making me a top choice.
then i have to decide how much time i am giving to my top recruits vs the lower recruits on my board.

1st week i spread it out over 20 guys i want, then 2nd i went top 12 with 40 mins, and spread out the remaining 120 mins over the next 5 guys. then this last week i only recruited 15 guys, 3 got 50 mins, 11 got 40 mins, 1 got 10 mins.

then after i determine the amount of time i am giving to my board i still have to go and pitch them which is usually takes the least amount of time.

i was gonna make a thread asking guys how they spend their time. how much time they put into a guys when their 320 behind. i still dont fully know how this point system will play out. like i have guy almost fully green with me or another team and idk if that means once its full green if they will be committed

oh and i always recruit first. if u have visits then u have to set activities for them.....i agree, its alot more challenging this year

I'm in season 2 of my Gator dynasty and I'm just getting bored with it. I do love it as a feature and it gives the game more realism. Recruiting is the grinding portion of a college coach's career and its a huge pain in the ass to recruit in this game.

I LOVE recruiting on this game.

What I do, is spend an hour a person for 10 people, then when someone commits I'll target someone else. It gives me the best classes

yeah i find it better to use a 3 star or under team and build it better

i would agree with u guys in previous versions. i always use ohio st and this year its tough. seeing where u stand in points really paints a picture of how u must be strategic. you cant just use a great team and expect all the best guys to play for you. And with the reduced number of 5 star players u have to search hard to find guys who u want in your system....that means looking for 3 star guys too

So going through the same process as a smaller bid school somehow makes recruiting a lot less boring for me??

Player and school caliber aside, recruiting isn't any different no matter who your playing as.
