The original RF game was just awesome IMO. I had it on PC and would play online all the time. The tech at that time was stunning. You'd be playing MP chasing after someone, they'd run around a corner.....so you'd just blow a hole in the wall and take a shortcut......fucking loved that kind of "real destruction" in a video game.

While the sequel ended up being a pile of shit....this one looks like it'll kick some serious ass.

They've designed a destructive world like I've never seen before...

I'm pumped to play an online MP game....and when some annoying 12 year old is snipe camping in some building.......I'm just going to blow the fucking thing to the ground.

I had the first one on PS2 and loved it, but I never beat it. I got to a part pretty late in the game with all these conveyor belts and shit and these enemies with rail guns that killed you with one shot. It was complete bullshit.

Looks ok. Gameplay doesn't look that good but that concept seems good. Not interested in it though.

Don't remember that part.....I recall the Story Line getting kinda wacky once you got into the mutant test subjects and shit.

But storyline, graphics .....who cares. That's not why this game is going to kickass. :thumbsup:

If I remember correctly it was right after you took some tram ride. The tram crashes and then the level begins that I'm talking about. That shit still makes my blood boil after all these years.

Come to think of it RF was the first FPS I ever played. I always thought they were strictly for PC nerds.

I was listening to the Rebel FM podcast and apparent;y one of those dudes flew to Vegas to see the game in action and he said it was damn impressive. He said he thinks that people are going to be very pleasantly surprised when it releases.

Yeah it's easy to see with the videos that they've built a very cool enviroment.


It'll allow for some creative gameplay. Why rush into the building guns a blazin when you can strap some c4 on a load bearing wall and watch the whole thing collapse to the ground. :thumbsup:

I just watched some videos on PS3 and this game looks amazing. It looks like what Mercenaries 2 was supposed to be, except it's set on Mars.

I just watched the Qore interview with the developers. They said they changed the perspective because in first person you character was getting injured and killed too often due to all of the flying debris from the destructible environments. It definitely makes sense to me. I like the new view.

There's a demo up on XBL. Not sure about PSN.

Sweet. I'm guessing the demo will be up on PSN very soon. I think the Thursday updates come out around this time of day.

No one's played it yet? I'm going to check it out as soon as the Celtics game is over. Although technically it's been over since the first quarter.
