After playing through RE5 and both DLCs with Swarley I'm going to go with the Xbox Archives version for sure. As much as some sections were a pain in the ass I would play through them again, and whereas I will probably never play the PS1 games. It just seems like the better deal for me. Plus I could trade in or sell my 360 copy of RE5 vanilla.

It just makes more sense. I do have RE5 for both but don't have the expansions on 360. I also don't have Code Veronica or RE4 remakes and they both have full cheevos lists on 360, and you don't get Veronica with the PS3 bundle anyway.

But yeah, I'm such a PS3 fanboy.

The achievements for Resident Evil 6 are online. I assume the list is full of spoilers, but I haven't actually confirmed that. I'm trying to keep as much of the game secret as I can before it releases or I am forced to play it for preview. Just because I don't want to read the list though doesn't mean I should deny you. Stuntman - 15 - Defeat 20 enemies with the Hydra using a quick shot.
Bring the Heat - 15 - Take down an enemy from 50 meters away with a headshot using the thermal scope.
High Voltage - 15 - Defeat ten enemies with a stun rod charge attack.
Zombie Massacre - 15 - Defeat 500 zombies.
J'avo Genocide - 15 - Defeat 500 J'avo.

It's called ResidentEvil.net, and according to Capcom, it's "massive". Launching with Resident Evil 6, the free site tracks all your game data—such as enemy kills, which weapons you dominate with, and your Mercenaries score, among others—to compare with Resident Evil 6 players all over the world.

Besides allowing players to see how they stack up, ResidentEvil.net will also allow Capcom to schedule events and shower participants with RE.net points that can be used to redeemed for things like in-game costumes.

Each event, however, will have one "winner". The champ will get a champion belt, and to keep it, that player will have to keep playing. Capcom will list past champs, so your RE6 glory will be there for all to see.

Resident Evil 6 getting timed-exclusive modes for Xbox 360

Resident Evil 6 will add three timed-exclusive game modes for the Xbox 360 after the zombie shooter launches next month, according the game's Xbox.com landing page. A tweet from the official Resident Evil 6 Twitter account reveals that these modes will be called Survivors, Predator, and Siege.

Resident Evil 6 buddies up with Xbox 360 for timed-exclusive modes.
It is not clear how long these mystery modes will be available only for the Xbox 360, and at the time of press, Microsoft had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment.

The new game modes for Resident Evil 6 will not be the only timed-exclusives for the Xbox 360. In June during Microsoft's 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo briefing, the company announced that downloadable content for Resident Evil 6 will come first to the Xbox 360.

Not really. Code Veronica HD > PS1 RE games.

Plus you get full cheevo sets for Code Veronica and RE4 HD, only limited trophies (no platinum!) on PS3...if you care about that sort of thing. :smug:

Old school RE games >>>> Code Veronica

Not even close. Do I think the overall "quality" of the games is better? Sure. But both still use those antiquated "tank" controls and CV is at least purdy in HD. It's definitely more modern than the old PS1 games. I'm telling you, you're going to play RE1 and quit ten minutes later. Those games do NOT hold up any more.

So, are these Archives and Anthology editions limited? If not, I'm just going to wait until these games go on sale. I really enjoy the series but nothing in any of the videos has overly impressed me.

There is a demo available, on Xbox at least, so I still have to try that.
