Wow. I must say this game looks great!

That weapon wheel was so awesome looking and the gun that had the fire cable attached to the enemy was super cool.

After being unimpressed with Resistance 2's graphics, this is a nice shift.

I know I'm in the minority but I think the Resistance games are better than Halo, and I am definitely a Halo fan. Yeah I said it. The graphics are better. The weapons are better. The game play is top notch. And the fiction is much better. But yet somehow these games haven't sold anywhere near expectations.

Everyone was disappointed when the weapon wheel was removed in Resistance 2 and Insomniac has definately brought the fun factor back in that aspect for R3. That weapon with the cable looking thing was more than likely the Bullseye.

*edit* After watching the second video, I'm kind of pissed that the Marksman is so futuristic looking. This is supposed to be set in the 1950's, so why that look with a human made weapon from 1953 is beyond me. I did read that you can upgrade your weapons in this game, so maybe that's it. Hoping this guy was playing on Easy, because that's what it looked like. I guess I'm in the minority as well Twigg, but you are right in saying that this game is better than Halo. Although..... I favor FPS over 3rd, so I may be a bit bias in my opinion.

Resistance 3 Multiplayer Revealed, Beta Later This Year

Resistance 3 will feature 16-player Human vs. Chimera deathmatch and objective-based modes set in locations across the globe. That may seem somewhat jarring after the 40 and 60-player mayhem in RFOM and R2. Rest assured though, our biggest motivation in determining our new player count was the fun times that we and the community had on maps like RFOM’s Busyard and Rooftops, as well as the Bayou House and San Francisco maps in Resistance 2.

Resistance 3 will offer a very deep and customizable progression system. Players can create their own progression paths through multiplayer, spending their hard-earned points to customize loadouts that fit their unique playstyle. We learned a lot from Resistance 2 co-op in terms of giving players the ability to create specific roles in a team and level up different abilities – which you will see with the various active tactical and support abilities, as well as the new personal and combat attributes.

For instance – each player can choose and level different support abilities – such as a Bubble Shield, Ammo Beacon (give ammo to teammates) or Radar Beacon (enhance your team’s radar). There are also tactical abilities you can use against your enemies, such as the Doppelganger (projects an image of you nearby to distract enemies) or Dash (an explosive burst of speed to evade enemy attacks).

Furthermore, each player can select and level a personal attribute and a combat attribute. These range from the ability to have leapers bust out from your corpse, to start with more weapons in your arsenal, to reloading or firing at a faster rate. You will be able to truly customize your character loadout to fit your own unique playstyle in Resistance 3.

We’ve been working on this new direction for close to two years now, polishing and refining our maps. We’re having a ton of fun playing Resistance 3 in the office every day. I really need to finish Retribution. Playing a shooter on the PSP was not very fun. I didn't have too many problems through most of the game but got stuck on a difficult boss fight and haven't played since.

I need to just hook it up through my PS3 and plow through it.

I'm pretty amped for this game. Doesn't it come out like a week after Uncharted 3? If so gonna have to power through that shit so I can cop this.

hell yes... R2 sucked ass, but the first one was crack on a disc. this looks like it will be much closer to the original.

R2 was ok. I wouldn't say it sucked ass. Was disappointing for the reason steeljake said though. Twigg, you should definitely finish Retribution if you have it though. I plan on going through all of them right before 3 comes out.

Yeah. I just wish they would release a trophy patch for the first game.

I only played the first one, and never got to finish it. Loved playing it though..and since the first 2 are cheap now, i'll probably pick them both up before grabbing this. I don't have many games to play right now..
