"I want to be that guy," Rose said Tuesday in an interview with ESPNChicago.com before the start of Team USA's training camp. "I want to be the reason why the Bulls are back to what they were [during the Michael Jordan era]."

As Rose enters his third season in the NBA, he seems less disappointed than emboldened by James and Bosh heading to Miami to join Dwyane Wade.

"Why wouldn't I want to be [the face of the franchise]?" Rose asked. "That's the point of playing the game. That's the greatest thing right now.

"I came to a team where they didn't make the playoffs, not for a couple of years. No one was really interested in the Bulls like that in Chicago, not like [it was during the Jordan era]. And I'm making it back [to being] exciting. I'm from Chicago, [and] it would mean a lot if I would just bring back one championship there, or even get past the first round. The city would go crazy. So for me to even bring that team back to like the old days, it would mean so much to this city."

IMO Rose is a great point guard and can lead a team to a championship and now with the addition of Carlos Boozer I think he may lead them there
 
I like Rose but his shot is god awful. I can't see how he would all the sudden gain a 3-point shot in one offseason.


I like the bulls team, but I have them 4th best in the east behind Heat, Magic, and Boston. Give it 3-4 years and I can see them atleast the 2-seed in the East.

The team's going to be too good for either Dwyane or LeBron to not at least be in the discussion... Bosh was never in it.

And since it's Dwyane's team, that should put him at the forefront, I would think... Granted, with the Big 3 in Boston, it didn't happen, so you never know.
 
Bulls are going nowhere, you guys are dreaming. Carlos Boozer isn't a difference maker, he's a complimentary player. Rose isn't on the elite level either. This team has 5 or 6 seed, one round and done written all over them. No shot they are getting past Mia, Bos, Orl.
