Rose embraces being face of Bulls

Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, and Jameer Nelson are not amused

Is it even for sure Carter will be back? Plus I think Carter is a flake anyways. 'Shard has been regressing and unless Howard somehow learns some offense I think he is maxed out.

I like the fact that Rose is saying this (what else would he say though?), because it's a sign that he wants to lead; however, IMO Rose isn't the type of elite player that guides teams to championships. He's good, but I think he'd be better suited if he was a teams #2.

I tend to think he's not a #1 either. It's nearly impossible for someone of his size to be the true #1 on a title team. However with the landscape of the NBA the way it is, and the shift of power seemingly going to one team this is the route the Bulls have to take.

Bulls are going nowhere, you guys are dreaming. Carlos Boozer isn't a difference maker, he's a complimentary player. Rose isn't on the elite level either. This team has 5 or 6 seed, one round and done written all over them. No shot they are getting past Mia, Bos, Orl.

They could easily be a 4th seed in the East.
You have the Big 3 in no specific order with Boston, Miami, and Orlando.

And then you have Atlanta and Chicago as the next two teams. I think Chicago is right behind the big three, but they still don't have what it takes to get past those three.

I don't know why everyone is so sold on Boozer, he's good and he'll be Rose look and play even better, but he doesn't single handedly made them contenders. Rose will become a better player with Boozer just like Boozer ran with D-Will. Chicago's good, but just not good enough.

And Orlando isn't even that good enough, Lewis is struggling and I'm not a fan of Carter. If Jameer can stay healthy with Dwight, that's their only hope. Other than those two, I'm not afraid of Orlando.

I heard he's added a 3-point shot to his arsenal.

Yeah his jumpshot improved a lot through out the season and he showcased it against Cleveland in the playoffs. From what I've heard he's been working on the 3 pointer specifically.

Can't wait.

Bulls point guard Derrick Rose claims that his three-point shot is vastly improved.

"It's there; I have a consistent 3-point shot now," Rose said. "You'll see. I just have so much confidence in my jump shot now. It's coming along so good. It's past even my expectations at this point."

Rose has been splitting his offseason workouts between the Berto Center and Santa Monica, where he trains with Russell Westbrook and Tyreke Evans.

LOL @ People saying Boozer isn't going to make that big of an impact.

Are we quick to forget the Bulls lead the NBA in rebounding last season? Boozer will just add to that. He averaged 11.2 last season, not bad in my book.

I like Rose but his shot is god awful. I can't see how he would all the sudden gain a 3-point shot in one offseason.


I like the bulls team, but I have them 4th best in the east behind Heat, Magic, and Boston. Give it 3-4 years and I can see them atleast the 2-seed in the East.

Rose really had a great off the dribble jumper last year, he just can't catch and shoot (though that doesn't happen too often.) I don't see him being a Kyle Kover marksmen but anything is better than his current 3 point shot.

Just to add to my love for Rose:

Derrick Rose apparently does not listen to or take advice from Justin Beiber. Which shows he is smart. He's also not taking the advice of The Fray. And finally, he is clearly not listening to or taking the advice of the best of the three -- Romeo Void.

Rose said "never." As in he is never leaving Chicago.

Rose is a hometown Chicago boy, who left for a year to go to college in Memphis and is back home. He doesn't want to leave.

I really didn't watch the Bulls much last year in the regular season outside of when the Cavs played them, but Rose's mid-range game was money in the playoffs.
