More throws from the pocket there to prove me right...
LOLhighlights...look, Freeman is a good athlete, but to compare his running ability to a young McNabb is idiotic. In his second season, McNabb tucked the ball 86 times for 629 yards. Last year, in Freeman's second season, he only carried 68 times for 364 yards.
Freeman is a good scrambler/runner, but he only runs when he absolutely has to. He doesn't rely on his legs that much, and he never has. In college, when QB's can get away with running all over the place, Freeman actually had NEGATIVE rushing yardage in 2/3 seasons. Look it up.
Is Freeman athletic enough to make plays with his legs? Yes. Does he do a good job of escaping the rush and extending plays kinda like Big Ben? Absolutely. But, he's always been a west coast offense guy that has done a lot more throwing than running. He's never been a big runner, and his rushing attempts will only go down as he gets more comfortable reading defenses.
