This is where he belongs in the first place.

People will always be focused more on the mistakes, but he had a couple positives out there. He did look a bit more comfortable.. The problem with Tim Tebow, is the people overrating his ass - he's a 3rd round project with absolutely no chance in hell at starting in the NFL within the first two years.

Dan LeFevour showed more... and I only mention this, because my goal is to mention LeFevours name at least five times in this thread (two, so far.)

I'd rather have Benn, Bryant, Damian Williams, Golden Tate, and Brandon LaFell all before Gilyard

They might all be drafted in front of Gilyard, but that doesn't mean they will be better.

Benn could be very good, but against top teams, he had a very hard time getting separation.

Bryant seems like he could be great, too bad he is from Oklahoma State. OSU WRs are awful. I know you aren't supposed to compare people just because they are from the same school, but he just screams Woods to me.

Damian Williams will probably bust. He can tear apart PAC-10 defenses, but I'm not impressed.

Tate could be great, but his downside is his size. If he is put in as a 1 or 2 WR, he will fail. If he is played as a slot guy or even a third down back.

Lefell will probably be a bust, but will be drafted because of potential.

I'm not sure I'd say that. Sure Tate is short but he plays much bigger because of his leaping ability and strength. I think he will take 1 or 2 years to work into the NFL because he has to work on route running but he can have an immediate impact as a slot guy, RB, return man.

Why are you not impressed w/ Williams? He's got great hands, runs the best routes of any WR in this year's draft, great after the catch, good body control and ball skills, deceptive speed, and he's a fine Punt Returner.

Apparently because some scouts thought Ryan Leaf was equal to Manning 12 years ago it must mean they are wrong about Tebow and he is really Jim Brown crossed with Johnny Unitas.

At best Tate turns into a Steve Smith-esque player. I think he ends up not being as good as Steve Smith but becomes a better/more versatile version of Eddie Royal.

I agree. I'd take him over all these guys apart from Bryant and possibly Lafell (not sold on Benn)

He's tough, has great jumping ability (like we have already said) and almost turns into a runningback in the open feild when he catches the ball. I think given a few years/the right receivers coach he could be very useful to a team

Archer as I've scanned through this thread everything that came to my mind you touched on with your posts.. I feel the Gator - Tebow love connect right now.. Alright I'm done.

But yea I missed the game as well, pretty shitty, but all I needed to see was the "Tebow Struggles as South falls" article title on ESPN and I feel like I know enough to come out happy.

How did Tony Pike play? Good enough to be a 1-2 rounder? I heard he played pretty good, with a good combine you think he could make the jump to a 1-2 rounder?

He was alright . He was very inconsistent when stepping into his throws . Most of his throws went the way of Gilyard which kinda sucked, would have been intresting to see how he did with WRs that he's not all that familiar with . Mayock said if he adds a little muscle and grows into his frame more he could be a decent QB in the NFL and I think I agree with him on that. With a good combine and the lack of good QBs in this draft I think it's possible that he's a second round pick but I highly doubt any QB other than Clausen or Bradford go in round one.

If I had to rank the QBs from todays performance I would say

1-Robinson
2-Pike
3-LeFevour
4-Brown
5-Canfield
6-Tebow

None of them were real good though (could probably switch 2,3 and 4 if you wanted to)

I came into this game very skeptical of LeFevour, I had questions about his arm strength as well as his ability to operate in a non spread-option style attack.

I came away very impressed with him in this game, his pass to Gilyard was beautiful, he dropped it right in there perfectly.

That'd be odd. He mentioned when asked who he'd like to play for he said, "Miami or Tampa Bay and then Tennessee". To bad he can't pick where he wants to play.

Jets are looking to go more balanced on offense. I think you may be right.

Kevin Burnett once said when he was prepping for a bowl game in Texas that he hated the Cowboys and wanted to pull a TO on the midfield star if he ever got the chance.

Dallas drafted him in the second round in '05.

I didn't hear him complain until his contract ran out and he wanted to be paid like a starter. Now he's in San Diego.
