Sharks trade Heatley to Wild for Havlat

I never said the sharks were going the wrong way, I said LA was going in a better direction.

I just look at it this way. Sharks have been to the Western Conference finals past two years and lost. Does adding Burns and Havlet and moving Seto and Heater = Cup Finals...and does adding those two beat out what everyone else has done in the West. Because basically that is what it comes down to. This isn't like they are building or trying to make the playoffs. They are trying to make the cup finals and anything less has got to be a failure after two seasons on being that close. And I just don't think those two are going to be the "holy grails" of the Sharks to climb into the cup finals.

I really wonder how much of Heatley most of you guys saw. He is painfully slow and falls down about 5-10 times a game. He is just as bad as Havlat defensively, if not worse.

Not saying Havlat is better at all, just saying he fits the Sharks much better. Heatley couldn't create anything for himself, 90% of his goals were from rebounds or just sitting in front of the net. And for the millionth time, this enables the Sharks to resign Couture and Burns.

I really think the Sharks have gotten a lot better by adding Burns.

What Sens fans were trying to tell Sharks fans after the trade but they insisted that he would get 60-70 goals a season. :rolling:

To his credit, he had 39 his first season and 26 in his second. He was also leading the Sharks with about 20 before he broke his hand around midseason, his pace really slowed down after that. I don't think I heard a single person say he's going to get 60-70, but I did think he'd be a 40 goal scorer considering that's what he did in Ottawa 4 years in a row.

He should put up better numbers in Minnesota because he'll be able to play more freely and do whatever he wants.

And he'll hopefully have a season where he's not injury free.

His decline in production this year was pretty much attributed with playing with nagging injuries all season.
