Shogun is the LHW division's only hope

Machida and his buddy And1 are exposing the UFC LHW division, once seen as a 'stacked' division, but these 2 guys are showing this division was probably very overrated

Machida has made guys like Thiago Silva, Tito and Rashad look bad, a MW made the former LHW champ look like a King of the Cage cast off

Forrest beat Shogun and Rampage already, Machida like I said took out Rashad and Nelmark'd him in the process

If Shogun doesnt put up a fight against the Dragon, this will look like when Wand and Shogun would take out everyone in Pride but wouldnt fight because they are teamates just like Machida and And1 are now, but if Shogun wins, it could set up a great match between him and Anderson former Chute Box members who dont like each other anymore and having been trading words in the media

If Machida takes out Shogun and using MMA math, I think Rampage just has a punchers chance, this new box at all costs Rampage wont give Machida much problems and get picked apart, its time for the LHW division to step there game up and break up the Machida/Silva duo

I disagree. If Rampage sticks to a game plan he has a chance to beat Machida. Silva has only won two fights at LHW.. id chill before saying hes "exposing" the division. I think Machida has a chance to roll through the division tho, no doubt. I really am not expecting Shogun to be a problem.

well lets look at it, rampage lost to forrest, went 5 rounds with hendo and had trouble with Jardine

Jardine has been smoked by Wand and Houstan Alexander

Forrest beat Rampage and Shogun, lost to Rashad

Rashad had a draw with Tito, KO'd Chuck and got Nelmark'd by the Dragon

Machida is rolling, SIlva stepped up a weight class and dismantled 1 of the better LHWs in the last year or 2

Shogun and Rampage are the last lines of defense for this division, looks like Rampage, Shogun, Forrest, Rashad, Chuck, Jardine where just overhyped

Theres no questioning the talent (outside of chuck whos age makes him irrelevant)). But all these guys have shown a big desire to just stand and bang and avoid other strengths.

Silva/Machida arent afraid to back off and let others make mistakes or force them to play there game.

As good as some of them have gotten with there hands your nothing if you cant mix it up. I think the round robin tourney thats been going on has alot to do with that.

Great point, I was actually going to post that the LHW division is the most one dimensional in the UFC but I lost my train of thought, everyone just wants to strike

The only good wrestlers in the division are an old Coleman, Tito with a bad back and Rashad who forgot how to shoot a double, throw in Rampage who hasn’t slammed anyone is years and it’s just a kickboxing division, so guys like Machida and Silva will light these dudes up because they are just better and are tactical strikers

The LHW division needs to get out of the 'stand and bang' mode and start fighting again

All of those guys can go on the ground...but they've all decided to stick with the poke and hope of the flash KO.

Especially Shad...dude should just go nuts on people on the ground, but ever since he learned to use his fists, he's stayed up.

as interesting a fight between Machida and Shogun is id love to see Rampage-Shogun II. Shogun gave Rampage one of the worst beatdowns ever. i think those two definitely need a rematch

I dont think I am (taking away), just a thought I had, LHW was always considered a 'stacked' division which it still my be, even in my p4p list I have 3 LHWs I think, now that I look back at the fights, the comp, Machida and Silva whooping ass, I think we need to take a 2nd look at this division and even where people have some of these guys ranked

The Machida/Shogun fight is a big one, I am probably looking forward to this fight more than most any other fight, its a great fight and will give us some more answers if Shogun tries to show a complete game and has his cardio back to normal

Machida and And1 are still beasts, I always have been a Rampage fan, but his recent outings are nothing to brag about, maybe all these guys Rampage, Forrest, Rashad, Jardine, etc...are really good, or just good to pretty good, I am leaning towards good to pretty good now

machida is good dont get me wrong, but do you think a rematch with him and rashad would have the same outcome? Prolly not good fighters learn from their mistakes, rashad is a good fighter, ramage is stubborn and doesnt defend his legs simply relies on power and can get "lucky" and im not saying he is unskilled but he is not well rounded as most but his power compensates. can he beat machida? on a good day yes shogun? meh there fighting styles dont match right he cant beat machida do you think machida and silva would have the same outcome? Prolly not. not taking any thing from machida but he aint anderson silva thats all im sayin in a nutshell
