1 more win than the Redskins and our head coach isn't starting the backup QB in order to get fired... with less cap. Point being I've never read anything more retarded than because you lost 18 mil in cap over 2 seasons this "Snyder vs Shanahan" thing was BOUND to happen and if the other 31 teams were in this situation then OF COURSE it would happen to them too. Absolutely fucking stupid thing to say and Argath if you agree with that then you're just as dumb.

No one is saying the penalty is the reason for the fight between shanny and snyder. It is, however, a huge factor in why this team is currently sitting at 3 wins. They could barely keep the players they had last year, much less have the room to bring in anyone new. Please show me a current playoff team that is dealing with these types of cap issues.

Edit: Cause right now you've shown the Raiders to have a similar/worse cap situation and they're sitting at 4-9. Doesn't seem like the Raiders are all that successful either right now.. which was kind've the main point :dd:

Dude... there are plenty of teams with shitty rosters and fucked up cap situations that don't go through this. The Raiders have 41% of their cap tied up in players no longer on the team. So no humble the other 31 teams wouldn't be in this situation. The Redskins actually have a QB even if he has been flawed because of injury from last season and they don't have head coach drama with the worst scoring defense in the league and 1 more win no less with one of the least talented rosters right after the Jaguars. That was flat out just a dumb statement to make.

Rushing RG3 back even though he doesn't look nearly like the same QB I think is a bigger blame than the rest of the roster. How many wins do you think they lost due to RG3's dropoff in play?

You think the other 31 teams would go from 10 wins to 3 wins if they lost 18 million in cap? Thats foolish. They basically have the same guys + Orakpo. But of course you're gonna have 7 less wins in that scenario....

So losing 18 million in cap automatically gives you a 3 win season regardless of team or organization? If you think that then you're still dumb. Either way both statements are dumb.

It's pretty apparent you haven't seen a single Redskin game this year. I'm also convinced you just started watching the NFL this year. This is gonna be a long one boys so get ready.


You don't think that maybe, just MAYBE, the 10 win season (where you know, 7 came on a huge winning streak against mostly mediocre-terrible teams *not including the ravens OT win* to end the season) wasn't actually a fluke? You do realize that in that 7 game win streak, only 2 of those teams even finished ABOVE .500? You act like this team is coming off of a god damn Super Bowl win.

Yes RG3 has not lived up to the hype this year. He's having a sophomore slump. Yes that hurts the team. However, if you actually fucking watch a god damn game you would realize that the Redskins special teams and defense are much more to blame than the sub-par play of RG3. It's hard to get an offense going when you're down 21-0 halfway through the first quarter thanks to a kick/punt return TD and several long TDs given up by the defense.

Pretty sure the only thing people have said, or atleast I have said (as I'm not really willing to go back and read the thread at this point), about it is that it's played a major factor in how the season has turned out so far. As stated previously, other teams got better, redskins lost key personnel on defense and special teams and actually became worse. This really isn't that hard of a concept to grasp.

I'm still waiting for the report from you on which current playoff bound teams are dealing with these types of salary cap issues the Redskins are dealing with.

Everyone forgets the skins are putting together teams with $18 million less than everyone else in the league. That's a pretty big chunk of the salary cap they can't use. I say give shanahan one more year and see what he can do with a full team for once, including (hopefully) a healthy RGIII.

Shanahan just a scape goat. Should've never let Danny Smith go though :smh: Skins special teams is one of the worst in the league since he left.

Daniel Snyder teams haven't done a fucking thing in his 14 years, I would argue that if you give the skins an extra 50 million to spend they still don't do anything. :dd:

I honestly don't give the defense a bad grade, despite being statistically one of the worst. Especially early in the season, when the Redskins couldn't produce any offense for the first three quarters, our defense held together despite being on the field for ridiculously long times.

Yes, our secondary sucks, plain and simple. Our linebacker corps, even with an aging Fletcher, is still one of the better units in the league. Cofield may be one of the best nose tackles right now, and the rest of the defensive line is solid- lots of role players but they do well in their role.

If Shanahan somehow stays on, I think he is forced to cut ties with Haslett. I think that would be a mistake, because the defense has not really mailed it in this season. Statistically, it's very easy to make that claim. Considering some of the games they had to play in with a putrid offense, is the performance really that bad?

Our special teams unit is historically bad. Solid punter, good kicker, but our coverage units are awful and we can't return squat.
