OK, I'm not returning my PS3. The way I figure, a good blu ray player is at least $200 anyway; the extra $200 I paid is fine.

I was about to get The Show when I saw they had Ghostbusters, which I've been wanting ever since I saw a preview for it. How does The Show stack up with MVP 05? I know The Show is generally much better than 2K's baseball games, and I couldn't stand 2k8 when I dl'd the demo on 360.

Thinking about InFamous, too.

Little Big Planet was a game that I could actually get my GF to sit down and play with me. It's a side scroller and a childish game at heart but a lot of fun.

And my GF hates video games lol.

My wife's a gamer and has worked in the gaming industry (Alternate Reality Games). She's gone through the 3 Katamari games, among others. Not into shooters; more into mental skill games than button mashing. Episodic games are good (she got the Strong Bad games on the Wii).

the show is way better then mvp 05.....u know mvp was great and all, but it doesnt come close to the show.

Gameplay, both are solid, but obviously the show has next gen advantages that blow mvp out of the water

Yeah my girl tends to like adventure games, been playing a good bit of Mass Effect and the occasional Zelda. However I think its safe the say she enjoys playing Rhythm games overall, Rockband/Guitar Hero/DDR.

And yeah I agree undoubtedly that The Show > Mvp 05. No doubt it was the best of last gen, but anybody that feels that it's still the greatest baseball title to date it holding on to nostalgia a little too much.

inFamous is a must buy imo. It's a 30 hour game on one playthrough.

As far as my wife is concerned, she is definitely the exception, not the rule. Mostly all she plays is CoD4. But once she started playing inFamous she was hooked. She beat it as good and booted it right back up and is playing through as evil. I'm trying to convince her to try Uncharted next.

Besides that she loves co-op games like the LEGO ones. I still haven't convinced her to try LBP, but like someone else said it's an amazing co-op game and perfect for you and your wife to play together. Plus, who knows, maybe you two could create a cool ass level of your own.

BTW, don't sleep on PSN games. It's one category (of many) that the PS3 blows the 360 out of the water. It's full of creative and original exclusive titles. My wife and I were hooked on Magic Ball for a while.

Almost every game has been mentioned. However, Ghostbusters would probably have not been my first buy on the PS3. If you had to get it on a next gen (meaning not the Wii), I would have gone with the 360. There have been articles about how the PS3 got the shaft on Ghostbusters compared to the 360. I'd probably go get Uncharted....look for it on sale or on Ebay.

Hm, I work at Wal mart so i get a 10% discount. It just sucks that they don't have a 20GB PS3, so I'd have to get the other size, 80 which i dont want. It's a waste of space and money, If I'll only be playing one or two games on the thing. (MLB 09)

Anyone know if gamestop sells like cheap used PS3's that have smaller space sizes?

Don't sleep on HDD size. My 20GB HDD on my 360 filled up quick as shit. I had to upgrade to the 120GB. Granted MS fucks you by only actually giving you 13GB of usable space.

My 60GB HDD on my PS3 is filled too. I have a bunch of PSN games on there and you also have to remember that some PS3 games require mandatory HDD installs, which sucks donkey dick. Recently I've had to delete demos and videos just so I could have room for a new PSN game.

Trust me, go with the 80gig.

i have a 20 gig 360 and its more then enough for me. I also have the 40 gig ps3 which is also more then enough space for me.

It all depends on the person. If you DL a ton of arcade games, demos and videos and have pics, music and all that other stuff on your 360/ps3, then you will need more space.
I DL a ton of demos, but i just delete them as i go and i usually have about 6 gigs of free space on my 20 gig 360.

I wouldnt mind owning a 120 gig now that you can install the games on the hdd, but im not spending money to do that

for my 360 , i got a arcade and it was my worst decision ever buyin the arcade version because it doesnt have memory for shit , you have to update every single fucking time i switch games

That sucks. I have a lauch 60gig PS3 and I have had it full to the brim for about 4 months now. I really need a new hard drive, but I can't find a job. So I keep having to delete shit like once a month

When in doubt, go for the bigger hard drive.

That said, replacing hard drives in the ps3 is apparently a piece of cake ... and you can buy pretty much any hard drive. It doesn't have to be made by Sony.

I've heard of guys putting 500gig hard drives in their ps3.

I have the 60gig myself.

Its irrelevant anyway. Activision is just trying to throw their weight around. They aren't going to stop producing PS3 games. They'd be losing a crap ton of sales. Not as much as if they were leaving the 360 or Wii but a ton none-the-less.
