I viewed this playoff run by the Eagles as the last chance for this generation of the Eagles - basically together since the late 90s, before they go into rebuilding mode. It isn't like they don't have some excellent younger players, but the key portions of that offense are all about to become decrepit. The defense should continue to be excellent next season, regardless.

Do you agree that this was their last stand? Or are they going to be good next season, too?

i think they can make next year a super bowl year, they know time is winding down...and w/ 2 first round draft picks you know they will go HARD for Boldin like they did last season. I have a feeling they get a good receiving TE this offseason, too. There's a small window, its def not getting any bigger but they might be able to do it

Brent Celek is a very good receiving TE. He has proved that. He also had 10 catches for 2 tds vs arizona. LJ Smith is gone for sure. He was franchised last year.

They are always good at scouting Lineman. Runyan will probably hit free agency. Tra Thomas will probably be back on a short contract. Then after that the eagles have incredible depth at offensive lineman. I think they will draft an Offensive Tackle in the first round.

I think the eagles will draft another safety in the first round of the draft as well. I think Dawkins has 2 years left on his contract.

They need to give Mcnabb weapons. He is one of the best all around QB's in the league. They also need to get a powerback for the goalline situations as there is only so much westbrook can do near the goalline. The worst move the Eagles can make is getting rid of Mcnabb. I know I am going to get flamed for this but I honestly do believe Mcnabb could be a future Hall of Famer pending he stays healthy and plays another four years. The only thing that I think that could hurt him is that he has been to the NFC championship game countless times and hasnt one a superbowl.

Like AJay said, The Eagles will never win a superbowl with McNabb as a leader. He is completely overrated and one of the worst passers in the game. At least 60% of his passes were overthrown, underthrown or behind his receiver in the championship game.

McNabb does have talent. McNabb is a very skilled and good quarterback. That you cannot deny. But what McNabb doesn't have is the will or the extra "something" that digs deep inside you and wins big games. I may be the only one who thinks this and maybe I am wrong but until he wins a Super Bowl I am going to believe that this guy just isn't a winner. He doesn't find ways to win the games, well at least the big ones. He doesn't have heart, plain and simple.

If Mcnabb had recievers that could actually catch a ball when it hit there hands then they would of won the game. I counted numerous time in the game when it hit the reciever enough in the hands where it should be a catch. Also Mcnabb didnt lose the championship game, the defense did. The Eagles had the lead with about almost ten minutes to go and they let the Cardinals march right down the field and score a touchdown while taking about 8 minutes off the clock.

I'm not a fan of the eagles, i'm actually a fan of the giants, but i could potentially see a deal that sends their two first round picks and lito sheppard for the chiefs #3 pick. That way they can get crabtree and actually have an amazing wr to help jackson out.

Imagine DeSean Jackson and Michael Crabtree playing together for the next 8 years or so, it'd be amazing.

McNabb has one of the highest win % ALL TIME as a QB...his TD to Int ratio is ridiculous, I dont care if hes won the big one or not yet...nobody else carries their team to the NFC championship 5 times single handedly everytime, except the 1 yr with TO, where he got to the super bowl, give him a top reciever...Brady was very good clutch, but not huge on numbers til he got some great recievers, Manning, has always had great receivers, Favre...always had good options...Mcnabb has TO for basically one year. He's not the greatest ever or even best in the league, but the numbers dont lie hes not stopping or preventing the Eagles from winning super bowls

The Eagles have a great team. This not the end of the road. If Kevin Curtis catches that ball or the ref calls PI on Hood, the Eagles win that game.

I don't think a PI call would have done anything. If they couldn't get the first down against the Cards defense, then what makes you sure they would have been able to get a TD?

Boldin for a 20 something pick?! Hell no, any team would offer more. That guy got a broken face and he only missed 3-4 games. He's proved his worth, and now it's gonna be hard for anyone to trade for him. You better believe he wants to stay in AZ, especially after they got to the SB.

Clearly you know nothing about the situation because when he was asked before the season started what would his stance be if they got to the superbowl, and he replied that he would want to stay with the organization.

Fitz had SEVEN more catches than Boldin, and one, just one TD more even through Boldin missed 3-4 weeks of the season getting his face fixed. And there is no comparison between Boldin and any of the other recievers, none of them are willing to take the hits required to be a elite reciever. The cards, if they don't get an elite trade offer, then they would defintily sign him up to play opposite of Fitz. If push comes to shove, then they'd get a hell of a lot more than a "1st and a 3rd".
