I didn't mind them making the Thenns so ruthless and cannibalistic. Tormund, Mance and Ygritte are already extremely likable so we need someone to root against during the Battle of Castle Black, which looks to be Season 4's Blackwater by the looks of the episode breakdowns.
Plus they seem pretty fucking terrifying from the get-go.
Well, it's been a while since I've read the books. Apparently I need to do a re-read. But, that being said, I remember thinking negative things of the Thenns. If it takes something extreme and over-the-top like cannabalism to get the TV Show viewers to get the picture, I can dig it.
edit - Also seeing complaints about how this portrayal will fit with the Uniting of the North storyline later down the road with the Alys Karstark marriage. Wouldn't be surprising to see this either cut or adjusted with Tormund or someone taking over the role.

I'm not worried about that. The show will have it's differences. Honestly, that's kinda nit-picky.
You know Stannis will do his shit and none of the previous drama will matter. Once Melisandre is at the Wall, things will be where they need to be.
Shae
One of my biggest fears is that the show will do away with the Shae-in-Tywin's-bed scenario and have her be sent off, to which Tywin's "where ever whores go" is in reference to Shae and not Tysha, turning Shae into Tysha as Tyrion ventures off to escape/find her.
Nah. The TV Show viewers need this. In my opinion, Tyrion's rejection of her in Ep1 was sowing the seeds for her to betray him later. Especially considering how Cersei's spy was notifying her of what was going down. If Cersei knows, Tywin knows. Tywin will do what he does to screw over Tyrion. And Tyrions will do what he does to... Yeah...
:dealwithit2:
Howevaaaaa, they seem to be going along the lines of the book. Where as her deception is out of left field (because we only see Tyrion's POV with her), the show is adding a dynamic where there is an obvious divide. Her death is necessary and Tyrion spends a good amount of time asking "Where do whores go?" looking for Tysha, his true love, not Shae. Here is where we run into Ser Jorah.
Set your worries aside, my friend.
/Khal Drogo
this reddit theory about benjen being daario is nuts. so benjen hears about dany marrying drogo, leaves the nights watch, becomes a sell sword, dicks around for a few years, finally meets up with her as daario, tries to gain her trust and eventually plows, tries to get her to do the essos version of the red wedding and then becomes a captive of the yunkai. all so he can tell dany jon is the son of rhaegar and lyanna, thus making jon a relation (her nephew i guess).
selmy trying his damnedest to get daario back after his capure also leans towards this theory, but god damn, this shit is nuts lol...
Well, if the show bought into that theory, they dun fucked up by using two different actors for Daario and neither of them being the same that played Benjen. That theory sounds fucking retarded.
I've spent an embarrassing amount of time reading theories on there but a lot of them are really good and make some sense. Another one I like is Coldhands as The Nights King.
I don't really care about Coldhands. There is that Three-Eyed-Crow theory though....

NAHSTE and I spent all day yesterday falling into rabbit holes and then pulling each other into them. Not productive at all. Wiki of Ice and Fire and r/ASOIAF have alllllllll the goodies.
:fap:
That's how I spend my time at work! I love that shit!
And also the Cleganebowl, get hype! That's the GOAT theory.
The Hound deserves that shit.
