I would probably shed actual tears if I lost 60 hours in a game. Yup, that's how great my life is that the worst thing that could happen was losing an "important" game save. :motte:

Seriously, I would probably put a few holes through the nearest wall. I remember something similar happening with GTA: SA. I was easily 30 hours into that game and somehow my save got wiped from the memory card. It;s the reason why I never went back to the game until like 2 years ago. I'm glad I replayed it and finished it though.
 
I have barely turned my PS3 on since it happened. All of those games I bought I have to redownload. Just a pain in the ass all around.
 
Basically. It did the triple beep after it froze. Turned it back on and said it didn't shut down properly and that I might lose shit. Well I ended up losing everything

I'm going to get it for the XBOX, even though I put PS3 on the poll yesterday. My experience is that sport games (most genres) that are released for both systems, the PS3 usually has problems, should any arise. If I miss out on an extra free mountain because I wanted to play it safe, so be it. If I really like the game, I wouldn't be against buying the mountain when it comes out on Xbox Live. Also any videos I've seen that has had the guys making the game have always been on the 360.

I think I've seen all 360 videos too. But you do know there isn't any actual head-to-head online in this game right? It's not like Madden, NCAA or even Need for Speed for that matter.

$45 TRU is pretty low....would be awhile for it to go down to $40. I don't see Amazon giving a $20 gift card ....maybe, just maybe Target will have it for $40 in 3 months. That would still include taxes. Any lower prices would be clearance at Target prices.
 
Twigg making a big deal about it isn't real multiplayer is pretty funny. The leaderboard route makes the most sense considering the game is all about the scores and times. It isn't like Forza where you can dick one another with wrecks and shit.

Don't twist my fucking words. No, it's funnier that people are saying "I'm getting it for Xbox because Xbox Live is sooooooo much better for online." I'm just pointing out that there really isn't any online. I think what they are doing makes perfect sense. Because the tracks branch off in so many directions you probably wouldn't see the other racers during the race except for the first few seconds. I think the leaderboards, auto-log type shit and the ghost races is perfect.

Like I've said several times, I'll take actual added content over nothing any day. If this was straight up head-to-head mp like a Forza then it would be a tougher decision. But considering the circumstances it really shouldn't be much of a decision.

You're just pissed that your PS3 shit the bed and now you're trying to defend your decision because basically you're back to one console now. If your PS3 was fine and you never would've received a free Xbox we wouldn't even be having this discussion right now. You'd be right along side me saying "You guys are bums. Also technically my PS3 works just fine. I just no longer have any of my saves it turns on and plays games and all that nice shit. Just lost all my shit and just don't want to deal with recovering everything
