Fun first fight, even though Richard took the fight on days notice.

Ferguson has nice grappling to say the least.

Richard looks huge for a 205er (he's a natural heavyweight). I'd like to see him back with a full training camp to see how he can fight with a good gas tank. With more training, he could be a nice fighter.

Woodley didn't come to fight at all. As soon as Tarec even attempted to strike he kept looking for the clinch so he could lean on him and did nothing with his takedowns. When Tarec was on his back he was being active and trying to attempt submissions. I scored it 30-29 for Sponge.

Very weak sauce by Woodley. Take that point fighting shit to the UFC.

All the other fights were good, but what a shit main event.

Very disappointing performance from TWood. He was simply too scared to do anything besides stay suctioned to Tarec. Luckily for him, SF doesn't have too many top level 170 pounders. But, Diaz would smoke him...although he probably could lay and pray a win out of Daley.

I never want to see Woodley vs. Daley. EVER. I'd break my television watching that 'fight'.

ya...that fight would go something like this...ding, daley swings, woodley shoots, woodley lays on tops of daley...rinse, repeat. I think Diaz could handle either of them tho, i think his boxing is more technically sound than Daley's, he has the reach, the cardio, and an advantage on the ground

I'd disagree on one point. I would say Daley has the better technical boxing, certainly with more power. Diaz just has that ability to throw a bajillion punches and with his reach advantage/height advantage, it's tough for the smaller guys to hurt him bad without taking big damage themselves.

I honestly think Woodley could LNP Diaz if his cardio improves. Diaz hasn't proven to stop good wrestler's takedowns and Woodley wouldn't exactly try to GNP, leaving Diaz smaller holes for submission attempts. See the Lil' Nog/Bader fight.

Rhadi's dance was sweet, liked his compusure though, still needs a lot of work

wow @ nunes, didnt expect that, that was old school wand style

Cormier showed a lot of tools, glad he went 3 rounds, didnt seem to gas to much, like I said before, he needs to get down into the 235 range when he steps up in comp, will be much quicker for being a small HW, carrying to much extra weight right now

Abongo is not a smart fighter, dude could have KO'd OSP but kept getting close, took it to the ground and fall back for his arm in choke that never works, lol, OSP still needs work, but the talent is there

Woodley played it save, Tarec did what he could, active guard, solid TD defense for going against a guy like Woodley, but he never got off, not a good fight to watch, I dont think this fight hurts Tarec, he should still be right in the mix, decisions losses like this dont mean much

Would like to see Tarec fight Cyborg if he losses, maybe a Bobby Voelker, etc...

Overall a lackluster night

Also, looks like there is another Challengers card on February 18th, so that means

2 cards in Jan, 2 in Feb and already a planned March card and looks like April, great start to the year for Strikeforce, probably a challengers mixed in also
