Overall a solid show with some great performances and some not so great showings.

-Lashley did what was expected of him. He used his wrestling and his power to dominate Wes Sims, no matter whether he may have held the throat. Lashley insists on taking things slow, but hopefully we can see him fight Shane Del Rosario for a bigger match-up.

- Holy shit did Lawler pull a Scott Smith or what. Manhoef is so damn dangerous, those leg kicks look like they would have broken the foundation of a home. However, he is careless at times with his defense and when he left himself open, Lawler landed one on the button. A big win for Lawler and I can't wait to see Manhoef fight again, whether it's in Japan or Strikeforce. I wonder where they go with Lawler now, do you sit him and wait for the Shields/Hendo winner? What about Jacare?

- Herschel Walker's stand-up looked a bit stiff but he had a great fight for a man who debuted at the age of 47. His opponent may have had a few more fights for experience, but Nagy was scared or whatever b/c he looked like a joke from the walk-in to not looking at Walker in the face at the stare down, to the fight itself. I'll admit, I got worried twice when it looked like Nagy may have caught him in a submission, but Walker has some decent takedown defense, strength and body control. With more training, it will be exciting to see how well he can improve.

I laughed my ass off when the whole crowed shouted "KNEE!!!" when Walker had him with his head down.

- Rex Ryan was the fucking man on this broadcast tonight. He talked up the MMA/NFL connection and even trash talked the Miami crowd (he got the biggest reaction of the night) and said something to the effect of "can't wait to take two from you next year." Ryan is awesome.

- Holy shit is Cyborg unbeatable or what? I hope Carano doesn't leave MMA because she may be the only person who can give Cyborg a real test. Coenen was just too small for Cyborg. Toughill, I doubt can give her a test either. Cyborg can take a punch and is so much stronger than any other 145 challenger.

- Nick Diaz is a mad man. Zaromskis was too small to compete with the barrage of punches that Diaz brings. Zaromskis couldn't finish Diaz when he rocked him and he did not stand a chance otherwise. Hieron vs. Diaz will be a very interesting fight and I can't wait for it.

i think shogun described walker's standup perfectly as "the black sock-em rock-em robot". his little two inch shuffles and bobbing and weaving was a little odd to watch.

Anyone want to bet that Aoki still comes to Strikeforce?

Zaromskis is a lot smaller than I thought. He was just dwarfed by Diaz and definitely struggled with that reach. Shitty defense aside, it was a solid performance. He had the win at one point, just failed to finish.

Speaking of Whitemare, people need to lay off him calling him overrated. Nick Diaz is one of the best WWs in the sport, the better fighter going in, and the perfect antithesis to Marius' style.

People criticizing Manhoef for not doing his standard rush and destroy tactics should be kicked in the teeth. Lawler's entire gameplan was built on countering his wild punching (but I bet he didn't plan for his leg to get kicked off..lol), and Manhoef looked phenomenal when he was picking his shots. Had he just kept his hands up, he would have had this fight in the bag. One of the best MMA performances I've seen from him. It just hurts that it had to be in a loss.

Lawler is Outtie 5000 and is off to the UFC. Didn't like his response to the question about facing Shields again. This win against Manhoef gives him a good opportunity to jump ship, especially since he has expressed displeasure w/ Strikeforce.

Coenen did a damn good job and performed a lot better than Carano. Her striking was solid and landed w/ some power shots, but the size/strength of Cyborg was ultimately too much. Props to her.

After Carano and Coenen, Cyborg doesn't much left for her. Legit female fighters at 145 left for Cyborg: Erin Toughill, Kelly Kobold. That's it and Kobold isn't all that impressive. Like I've said before, this division is paper fucking thin. Regardless, she proved that she's legit since she just beat the one fighter in her class with the best resume. Still LOL @ her being the #1 P4P female fighter.

Herschel Walker was a success, both on and off the mat. Very classy, got the crowd involved (KNEEE!!) and actually showed some skill (granted against a bum). I would look forward to watching him again.

Bobby Lashley did what he was supposed to.

wow @ Lawler/Manhoef, Manhoef was tearing Lawler up, I was starting to feel bad for Robbie and than dropped the hammer

Cyborg is rough, Toughill is the only option at this point, Marloes did a good job surviving and I'm glad Cyborg showed she had some cardio

Diaz is a beast, hands were just to much for Zaromskis, I knew Nicks chin would be a deciding factor when Zaromskis finally landed, Nick is on fire right now

jay is also signed with EA, not sure the UFC wants to mess with those guys, actually when Affliction folded they were told not to sign any guys who signed with EA plus all the stuff before that about EA

The same Mach Sakurai that is riding a two fight losing streak, hasn't been consistently motivated since PRIDE and completely mailed it in during his last match against Gono? Not to mention that he is a tiny WW. It doesn't make any sense to give it to him, then again DREAM's WW division is only five-six fighters deep and almost of all of them are coming off losses. Mach is the biggest/only name left. Coker needs to demand that Sakurai trains in the states the entire time or give the title shot to Hieron or someone who actually has momentum.

Sakurai is probably going to get worked, but at least he can make it competitive.
