I can not stop playing this game. I love how self referential it is and how they constantly break the fourth wall. I'm about 20 hours in.

I've gotten so good at combo-ing grinds, bounces, wall runs, etc that I rarely ever hit the ground. I thought that was going to be tough for me but it's become so fluid and easy.

Why did you enter a contest for a game on a console you don't own? Apparently it's too late to take my Thanks back.

Anyway, I think I only have a few story and side missions to go. I've collected EVERY single collectible and achieved Gold in a good amount of the challenges. I really enjoy those. Some games really mail in stuff like that but I think most, if not all of the challenges are creative and interesting. I've also unlocked a good chunk of the cheevos. I have not tried any of the mp stuff yet.

I need to buy the Season Pass ASAP. This game is so much fun.

I went over 30 hours of play time last night and I'm still not done the story. I ended up unlocking a side mission last night that involved tracking down "quest markers" that had me LOLing. Maybe I can wrap it up tonight. Ha.

I think I got about half way through the story mode (and playing strictly those missions) before I was sucked into COD. I know eventually I'll get back into this game but it sounds like I still have A TON to do.

I am really enjoying everything about this game, but I feel like I'm having trouble really grasping how to play it. The first Vat protection mission wasn't hard, but I was so overwhelmed by the way that you are basically required to always be movie and always be shooting. My hands were having trouble catching up to what my brain needed them to do.

Man I love the graphics though. And I created a Freddie Mercury look-a-like that I am very happy with. I was super pleasantly surprised with how awesome the character creation was.

Liek I said previously, I was really concered with the whole "stay moving" aspect of the game, prior to release. I've never been good at keeping combos going in games like Tony Hawk, NBA Street, SSX, etc. I definitely struggled at first but now I have a really good grasp of it. I still occasionally hit the ground but it's no big deal.

I will say that I finally tried out Chaos Squad last night. It's a lot of fun but I'd really like to play with some friends. All but ONE of the randoms I played with weren't talking and the one that was sounded like he was 12. They were also pretty terrible.

For those that aren't aware, it appears that you basically cycle through four or five "objectives". The first may be to kill an onslaught of Fizzco bots in the time limit. There are bonus objectives too like killing a certain number while bouncing. Then the next objective may be to destroy as many Fizzo crates in a time limit. You have travel to different areas between each objective and you get bonuses depending on who arrives to the location first, second, third...The last objective is always a Night Defense mission. I went through two complete "cycles" twice and both times we failed the Night Defense. I honestly don't know what we were doing wrong? They are set up just like the ones in the campaign but there doesn't seem to be a timer so you don't know how long you;re expected to defend. Waves and waves of enemies just keep coming until they destroy all of your OD vats. It was pretty frustrating.

Couple of news items on Sunset Overdrive today-

1st - All Xbox Live Gold gamers will be able to play the full game this weekend for free! All achievements are available and progress will be saved for anybody that purchases the game at a later date.

2nd - Game update went live. Here are complete details-

GENERAL:

Fixed an issue where ammo on all equipped weapons would reset to its level 1 count when using Fast Travel.
Fixed an issue where the player could lose ability to see Leaderboards scores in the pause menu.
Fixed issue where scrolling through Leaderboards sometimes caused game to crash to dashboard. (Gamer pics have been disabled in Leaderboards.)

MISSIONS:

Fixed a potential crash when replaying the “Amptastic!” mission and leaving the mission area.
Fixed a potential progression stopper in the “A Way Out” mission.
Fixed an issue when replaying a Night Defense mission where collectibles that were required the first time you played the mission are taken again.
Fixed an issue where the player can kill the boss in one shot during the “This Ends Here” mission.
Fixed an issue where the player can defeat the boss before the final phase during the “This Ends Here” mission.
Fixed a potential progression stopper that could happen if the player kills the second wave of Scabs before the Fargarthians arrive during the “Tastes Like Chicken” mission.

QUESTS:

Fixed an issue where the quest would not be completed if the user fast travels after raising the last flag during the “Take Back the Streets” quest.
Fixed an issue where the player would be unable to use weapons or place traps in “The Firework Show” quest.
Fixed an issue where the cars and vending machines would become indestructible in the “Garage Chaos” quest.
Fixed an issue where progression could be blocked if the player dies while defending the boat in the “One Man is an Island” quest.
Fixed an issue where players could potentially get stuck on the back of the truck during the “Boat Upgrade” quest.
Fixed a potential progression stopper during the “Hardcore!” mission.
Fixed a potential progression stopper that could occur if the player leaves the playable area in “The Most Epic Quest for EXP” quest.
Fixed an issue where the player could potentially be unable to place “Siegfried the Great” traps during “The Most Epic Quest for EXP” quest.

CHALLENGES:

Fixed an issue where the Rager was not acquiring EXP during the Bucky challenges.

CHAOS SQUAD:

Fixed an issue where the player would be able to join Chaos Squad without unlocking it when invited as an inactive profile.
Fixed an issue where players could potentially end up stuck on the loading screen after leaving Chaos Squad using the Game Party menu.
Fixed an issue where supply drops would stutter when falling during the “Supply Drop” mission.
Fixed an issue where players would lose control of their character if they joined a Chaos Squad game while viewing binoculars.
Fixed an issue where players would be unable to use matchmaking for a couple minutes after leaving a Chaos Squad game.
Fixed an issue where level 1 versions of AMPs would re-appear in the Amp store with Floyd when the player unlocked an AMP upgrade in Chaos Squad.
Fixed a potential Chaos Squad server crash in the “Harbor District”
Fixed a potential issue where the “Failed to find a game: Timed Out” message could become stuck on screen.
Fixed an issue in Chaos Squad where weapons that are boosted from a spinner reward will have the “NEW” tag in the AMPs section of the Character Page.

VANITY:

Fixed an issue where the players hoodie sweatshirt could cause the hair to be removed in game on the player.
Fixed an issue where the cheerleader skirt could disappear on the player after completing the “Bad Medicine” mission.
Fixed an issue where the “NEW” tag could re-appear on items when viewing vanity items with Calista.
