Well if you're a fan of defensive games, this should be right up your alley if last year's mini HarBowl was any indication.

Props to the Ravens for unseating Peyton Manning and Tom Brady on the road to reach the big game. Momentum and passion are on their sides, but I believe we are the more talented team.

The most talented team doesn't always win the Super Bowl though, as recent history has shown us.

Will be interesting to see how the extra week of prep helps the Ravens deal with Kaepernick though.. the two "mobile" QB's they faced this season, Vick and RG3, both beat them (though technically it was Cousins who lead the last second drive).. and I think Kaepernick is much better than Vick.. toss up with RG3.

Right now I'm leaning Baltimore. But the game really is a toss-up

seriously ? They just beat the two best QBs in this era and you think a 9 game starter has a chance? He escaped the Falcons game because the Falcons made about 3 key mistakes. Its going to be much ,much tighter for him against the Ravens. The Ravens won a shoot out and defensive battle back to back. The 49ers proved they cant stop anyone from scoring these last two games.
The AFC has been the tougher bracket.
 
I think the 49ers have the much better team, I think they'll be in a couple more SBs over the next couple of years, that's a big reason why I want the Ravens to win, I don't see them repeating next year.

Another big reason is Ray Rice, would love to see him win a Superbowl. Might have to get a ray rice jersey if he wins the ship.

all 3 rookie QBs were eliminated and I told you they would be before the playoffs started.

I equate Kaepernick to when the Rams made the Super Bowl in 79 with Ferragamo.


He may look and be decent at the position but he is still young and inexperienced and it will affect the outcome.

I just threw that number out there. I dont give a damn whether it was 2 or 5 or what ever mistakes. The fact is the game was close against a Atlanta team that was supposed to have no defense and SF barely escaped with a win.

an obvious 3 mistakes would be the bobbled snap, the int. and the last pass. But i'm sure theres a couple more that were more Atlanta messing up then SF being superior.

you guys hem and haw and make your jokes, but the fact is I make definitive statements and been right more often then not and each year someone makes the stupid squirel gets a nut joke.

I said the winner of the Giants, Packers playoff game would win the SB. Thats what happened. I said the Packers would beat the Steelers because the Steelers were getting older and beat up and thats what happened. and the Steelers havent been in the SB since. I told you Coughlin owned Belichick like Knoll owned Landry and that what happened.

I said all rookie QBs would be eliminated in the playoffs and thats what happened.


I have finished in the top 3 in the same bowl pool last year and this year that had 110 entries and Came in first in our little bowl pool this year.

I actually pay attention to history and trends while you guys still buy hype and forget year to year what happened in the previous one.


of course if i'm wrong who cares ? LOL its just sports predictions and says nothing about my integrity or honesty or character.

it will just give you the joy to type some dumb joke on the forum and life goes on.

It's obvious that the media is going to beat the brother angle and Ray Lewis story to death. Here are some of my favorite storylines from this matchup:

Justin Smith - this guy is one of the most underrated players of all time and not to mention toughest. Finally gets a chance to play in the big game. I forget the name of the rookie guard that will have to block Smith in what will be a huge matchup all game, especially since Bryant McKinnie is going to have his own issues trying to block Aldon Smith.

Anquan Boldin - I'm glad this guy is getting another shot after losing a few years ago. Another tough guy who has never been a prima donna like most of the receivers we've seen.

Ray Lewis - I think he is going to be exposed in this game because he is simply too slow. He is still very good in between the tackles, but he is a liability on any runs to the outside and in coverage. Vernon Davis and Kaep are going to make him look silly. We'll see if the old man can use his instincts to contain the speed of the Niners. I don't think he can.

Ed Reed - Something tells me this may also be Reed's last game. I don't see him going to another team at this point in his career and it seems like the guy has been pondering retirement the last couple of seasons. One of the best of all time and another guy that is hard to root against.

Navarro Bowman - He has gotten more attention this season but I honestly think he is just as good as Willis or better at this point. He is all over the field. For a guy that was second in the league in tackles, I don't think people realize just how good he has been this season.

Randy Moss - Once hated and feared by many, Moss has obviously matured and it's good to see him back in the Super Bowl. I'd like to see him get a ring.

Colin Kaepernick - This kid has played unreal in the 9 games that he has started. He has easily become one of the most exciting players in the league, it's going to be interesting to watch him run this offense against the Ravens D.

Joe Flacco - Whether you like him or not, Flacco has made huge strides this season and has played exceptional in the playoffs. Just like with Kaep, it will be fun watching Flacco go up against the 49ers D.

A lot of people recognize the 49ers linebacker corps of Willis, Bowman, Smith, and Brooks as the best unit in the league, and I think they're still under-rated...these group is legendary IMO together. Bowman would be considered one of the best ILBs in the league if he wasn't playing alongside Willis, Smith is pass-rushing phenom, breaking Reggie White's record of being the youngest player to 30 sacks, and Brooks is that guy that gets no looks, but is absolutely vital to the success of this team.
 
Tailback, it's also Matt Birk's first Super Bowl. He's one of the classiest players in the league and deserves to be there just as much as anyone.
