However, even with the injury and even with as old as he is, he's in a shit ton better shape than most guys in the NFL right now and he's still better than most wide outs in the NFL right now. From a talent standpoint, I see no reason why you don't sign him for the rest of the year or an incentive based contract.

Shit, if Jerry Rice can tear his ACL AND crack his patella and come back and still be productive in his late 30s/early 40s, T.O. can definitely still produce.

Apple and oranges. And the teams that really need a WR, badly enough to sign him with the few risks(he's a nut case, and his knee may not be ready to play NFL football, yet, and he must become acquainted with the offense and it's current setup of players) really wouldn't benefit much.

Rams, Bears, Jaguars, Bills(been there, done that), Vikings are the immediate teams that come to mind. The season is at it's halfway point. He had his workout, and no one cared. It's probably time for T.O. to apply for a job on First Take arguing with Skip Bayless.

I think he will be on good behavior because he needs the cash and doesn't wanna fuck it up for the next 2 years he plays. I think he still has it. If I were Oakland, Chicago, Baltimore, Jacksonville, New England, Tennessee, Carolina, San Francisco, or Tampa Bay.. There's even more teams. But he could could easily all upgrade their receiving corp and help a lot of teams push into the playoffs. He would come so cheap...

I just don't see an NFL team signing Owens. He looks to have recovered from his ACL injury and is in top physical condition but he still has history as a head case and is represented by Drew Rosenhaus (a negative for marginal players IMO). Even if they did have a spot for an aging WR the risk of him offing himself while on their roster is more than they want to risk.
